Reading this broke my heart I can remember feeling this way.
Painfully beautiful.

After reading your writing I trace the scares I left on my legs I have three that I don’t think will ever fade.

Know this,

These days do not last forever, if you choose to dig do so with a pen let the ink take the place of the blood you focus on.

I understand the want to feel something
Anything

Close your eyes and listen to the heart beating in your chest... you know the crazy thing about that heart.

It may feel pain and may even break a few times in your life.

But it will keep beating.

Keep your head up and feel free to reach out even if it is just to talk.

With love,
-B-

Yes I do like it very much but would like to change the last two lines if I may be so bold to:
\'and I can compete
because
I have a perfect heart\'.

A hero\'s journey

WELCOME IZZY ~ Thanks for sharing your first poem which is very thought provoking. WW1 (1914 ~ 18) was GREAT because of its dimension (it was a big war) and cost the lives of 17 million people with 20 million wounded. WW2 (1939 ~ 45) was even worse with over 70 million killed and over 100 million wounded. The costs and losses in any WAR far outweighs any gains and PEACE is always very fragile, There are still people dying in Japan as a result of the two Atomic Bombs (1945). Hundreds of soldiers and civilians die every day as a result of Strife between Nations \"When will we ever lean ~ When will we ever learn ?\" Thanks for caring. Please check my Poems ~ Thanks BRIAN
