Trapped In A Telephone.

You have struck on a question I have asked myself for a number of years. What does the face of a cell phone have that a human face does not? Unfortunately there is no rehab for this addiction. Great write!

Aha! The \'phoney\' generation goldfinch. Picturing u sat in your cafe (or should I call it coffee house in 2022) surrounded by phoneys and writing poetry about them. Gosh, would they know how to react if you spoke to them?

Were we the same millions of years ago? Did we walk around in a telephone box, down the street, in the park, etc, wherever we went?! lol.

The picture is clear –
When life’s end draws near
There’s nothing to fear
It is today that’s dear.

One day at a time, Andy.

I\'ve often thought of how we begin our lives needing care, and when much older we need care again. And in-between, we are the caregivers. Thought provoking write Andy, well penned.

I\'m so pleased to read that you still walk alongside your beloved Avon (you\'ll have to tell me how to drive onto Crown Meadow when the gates at the bottom of the ramp are shut yet there are cars on the meadow).

It\'s refreshing to think about times changing and generations moving on. We can try to pass along out wisdom and knowledge as best we can but at the end of the day the thing we pass along mostly is love.

A tear in my eye after reading your words - - so true Andy that time waits for nothing and passes so quickly - the number however is wonderful with all the band making the Unchained Melody a sound to lift the spirits - -- thank you for sharing it.

Or you getting one of those powered chairs and gonna mow us all down? Some are hazardous. They should be on the roads by the speed they are doing!
We don\'t know each person\'s situations, but some in those chairs can walk OK. They park the vehicle outside shops.

Fresh Bread.
Doggerel Dave said:

Glass half empty? Glass half full? Not Andy:
A self-filling glass kept full to the brim.
Croquet, poetry, music, homemade bread -
It’s not just romance which helps keep him trim.

When I hear people say they are bored, I think of you, Andy.

what a neighbourly and lovely gesture, that\'s so you Andy
(and I too love making bread
sometimes I like a little rosemary infused oil instead
to sweeten the deal
add some variety n flavour, to life
lol
you know you\'ve got the baking bug
when you spend years searching
find that perfect spot in the kitchen
to insure the dough rises just right, every time)
lol
thanks Andy, I\'m gonna make some bread this weekend
(oh erm, have to admit
I buy my ciabatta\'s, broioche\'s and sourdoughs
am just never gonna be good enough
to try n make them at home)

Door Of Faith.
Bella Shepard said:

To find peace and comfort in your faith, no matter what that may be, is a wonderful gift. I can truly relate to the sentiment of your poem because I came to the same conclusion 20 years ago, and found amazing peace and acceptance in my life. A wonderful poem of self reflection dear friend, I\'m so glad that you\'ve found the belief that is truly yours.
