To the lazy soul
And the cold heart
All it desired was just a wisp of spring
Thanks for such a beautiful and hopeful write dear Andy

Strangely enough, it was pretty warm today. A little glimpse of flower, does that mean winter is over. Is spring springing, or am I getting ahead of myself.

A nice bright and cheery piece here Andy.

I too cannot wait for the warmer seasons to come, where the visual floral symphonies make their welcome return.

Bravo, and I hope that all is well!

yeah, noticing a few hyperactive
early buds, of green
on a few trees, barren branches
\'not long left, now
till bright colours of Nature
help to introduce, warmth
back into the grey
of our everyday routines\'
(thanks Andy, just that spoonful of hopeful
I needed, to lift the fog
from this dreary winter\'s Monday morning)

I not seen one just yet. I check the hedgerow of our garden too. It gives us plums around July.
The Sunday theme yesterday of an old church service book was \'Signs of glory!\'

Wonderful isn\'t it. The continuance of life. Even though our seasons seem to be messed up we know nature will find it;s way to cope with whatever trials mankind inflicts on it.

\"If you want to find the truth in life,don\'t pass music by\",I could swear I heard this in either a Animals song,or Eric Burden and War song. And this is one I think you\'ll very much enjoy,..maybe you\'ve seen the movie? \"Come,..fill the cup. In the fire of spring, her winter garment of repentance fling.

The bird of time has but a little ways to flutter,...and bird is on the wing.\"- Bird,1988. Directed by Clint Eastwood, starring Forrest Whittaker in the lead role. Great work here Andy p.s.,just remembered one,\"Music can be a healer.\"-John Lee Hooker.🍻✌️🕊

I love all kinds of music too including jazz. But I can only play simple songs on the guitar, also self taught during the covid lockdown. One day jazz maybe. Enjoyed reading this poem.

According to Thelonius Monk a bum note was an adventure because it took you to improvisation places you would not have otherwise considered/explored. As an ad libber i most definitely agree with him.

Well, you know I\'m a lover of a lot of jazz, modern jazz that is, and I\'ve dipped my toe into most of the names..... but i do have a love of 50\'s mainstream post bebop jazz from across the water.

Good to see poetry about jazz here on mps.

What a super idea...I\'d be there tomorrow.

On the other hand these idealistic ideas tend to miss out on some rather important stuff. Now then, such an idyllic island is going to appeal to disrespectful lazy wasters as much as it will to anyone else, how do you decide who clears up after such people especially if theyre not prepared to dig their own toilet and backfil.. etc etc etc

Great uplifting poet especially in these troubled times when the planet needs us to be more caring ans respectful of our environment.

Evading The Truth.
L. B. Mek said:

\'Listening, is the same.
So many people just hear,
Just hear
and never listen,
And once more
they do not understand,
Do not understand
the true meaning,
The true meaning
of the things they hear.
So once again
they evade the truth,
The truth
that is there.\'
(just love the musicality you\'ve imbued into this verse,
by perfectly showcasing the art of purposed repetition in poetry, Andy
this is such a wonderful reading experience
it\'s like a verse, just waiting to have music written for it and performed
a lovely write!
thank you for sharing my friend)

We have these great five senses, but in life, the sixth sense is probably the most important. Truth can be interpreted in many ways, and usually signed off as such.
