Of course that makes a lot of sense when you consider just how long 3 chord music has been around. I prefer something with a bit more sophistication but a good old rocking 12 or 20 bar piece aint to be sniffed at.

Firstly, reading the written word is interpreted with mind pictures which differ within the realms of each readers mind. The ageing wood carver may well be forming a quite different picture to the successful chartered accountant\'s mind vision.
So then which sympathetic version would be the most well received in our ears if read aloud?
The words on paper, or the musical notation are just the nuts and bolts of a meccano set for the performer. It is what that performer makes of them which provides either the sweetness or the rasping for our eardrums which are of course, in turn, quite subjective eardrums anyway LOL.
