Brilliant Haiku and Senryu. Perfectly executed. Love your Senryu. It applies to so many situations of life. I think we all have said your words in our minds more than once. Loved them both - Phil A.

What a beautiful display Andy. The way the haiku so seamlessly transitioned into the senryu was stunning. Wonderful job!

No Croquet Today.
Rozina said:

I can imagine the disappointment when you\'ve planned a fun regular activity and then you can\'t. The weatherman is wrong again here! Still waiting for that heat spell, it\'s raining again this morning. But I enjoyed watching the video.

Bad enough playing football in the rain. In saying that, once you\'re out, there\'s no going back.

ok so, that video was just
frivolity, defined
loved that carefree spirit
lol
although I\'m glad it was only 3 mins or else
that incessant drumbeat
would have done my head in..
and that poor girl in the far right corner..
thanks Andy, I dared and failed
lol

I was about and about. I took me coat off even, first thing, then put it on again for the rain, passing the deserted croquet club. Doh!

Fur Elise Again.
Rozina said:

Your poem brought back many happy memories. Beautiful. 1 of the pieces I could play a little bit, the first part. Loved listening to this. My father tried to learn the violin when he was older but passed away before too long.

Yes a great piece of music - my Dad intoduced me to The Nutcracker suite which triggered my love of classical music. Like you the memories come flooding back.

Andy, you and your dad share something very special. And the music is only the beginning of it. Your dad would be proud. 😉

Isn\'t music amazing, you can\'t remember where you put the car keys, but as soon as a bit of music comes on, you\'re transported back to another time and place.

Hmm theres something special about the ear which appreciates the sound of those droning bagpipes. Whatever that specialness is completely eludes me.
Can you imagine chet and Jerry Mulligan dueting but with Jerry on bagpipes... what? you have a headache already just contemplating it. OK if you want a real ear twister listen to Eric Dolphy soloing in bebop on a bass clarinet. Have some paracetamol to hand.

Chet Is There.
Bella Shepard said:

It is truly amazing what music can invoke in us. A favorite artist or song can take us to a wonderful place of peace, memory, that can give us solace and make us smile. I know that you will be smiling for many years to come with wonderful music in your heart. A lovely homage.

Chet Is There.
dusk arising said:

Chet lived an amazing life that was tortured by his drug addiction. His music speaks for itself but to me the most amazing things about him are the obstacles he overcame to rise to the absolute heights of his career.
And then there is his singing voice which in his advancing years took on a meloncholy grittyness. Pathos which reaches deep into one\'s own blue places.
