Or is it both?\'..

Do you know how I know I love you?
L. B. Mek said:

unfiltered words of impassioned heartache,
celebrating while mourning, recollecting fondly while lamenting: thus be that lingering duality of a love cherished, wholeheartedly..
thanks for choosing to share

Let me back in

Aching to be understood indeed! At the end of this exquisitely sensitive piece, I almost ran upstairs to listen to my sleeping mate\'s heartbeat, which I must admit I have neglected to listen to lately. Of course it\'s 2 a.m., and she\'d have killed me for waking her!

Thank you so much for your comments. I actually published this poem under the title ‘unrequited’ a while back but forgot I had and stumbled across it the other day so published it again by mistake.

Wonderful emotive words, that adoration may well be returned one day if you show these words to that person.

The phrasing here, your choice words display you are a fine poet indeed. I envy the romance of your word choice. I really felt the sensual way you describe \" I could paint your portrait more beautiful each time with the paint of all your caresses\".
Unconditional romantic devotion beautifully expressed.

I appreciate how you use painting to embody that adoration, devotion that overwhelms you when you love another like that. Oh the frustration... all that and yet... you draw the reader in, so intense, so sensual, then boom. I\'d say thanks but I\'m still in shock!

Coffee
MendedFences27 said:

They say coffee is a stimulant and alcohol a depressant , so what happens when I put a shot in my coffee. It\'s like a war going on in my cup and I end up with a drink that does nothing. Or maybe the coffee just stimulates my depression. So, I\'ll just add three spoonfuls of sugar and enjoy the ride,
Now I will have to watch people drink their coffees and try to read their minds. Oh may, what have you created? Coffee-people watching?
A whole lot of truth in your poem. That first cup in the morning means different things to different people. For some it\'s a high and for others a low. For me it\'s my 10AM wake up call. Terrific poem. -Phil A.

Coffee
dusk arising said:

It feels like you are living a lost love and in pain. Your immediate surroundings become a stage for your pain to perform its play upon your otherwise resting mind.
Hopefully something positive will come along and share your arabica appreciation.

Ink talk
dusk arising said:

Confrontation of your deamons, kept at bay with a pen, mightier than the blade.
Long may it be for you.
This piece is all of these - sad, deep, entertaining with it\'s creativity and uplifting.
A gift to us poets who scrawl our heartfelt pains onto the page/screen.

Beautiful piece. The love you share runs very deep. Willingness to take that pain from another is love in its purest form. Thank you for sharing.

Very zesty. Great mix of metaphor and directness. Be careful, the fruit of such a relationship can quickly become rotten tomatoes. -Phil A.
