The float soul fly along the ray of the Moon,
So tender, so light, so peace, so beautiful
Assimilated into the nigh sky
Turned into a star
Shine for you

This is an amazing write! Just absolutely captivating! i read it a few times just to absorb it all. I agree with the ladies before me, the deepest line is the last, where it has such a impactful effect on the reader. Excellent job!

Like the others, I was drawn into your poem right to the last and rather unexpected lines that stopped me and made me think. Do we?

A withered leaf
from no where
Fall in the sacred creek
Cause endless ripple of melancholy
Burning rose
Turn the creek into sea of fire

Everyone has days like these Bill. And writing of it shows the poet in you. And your painting also shows the artist painter in you. Excellent work my friend.

Oh - these words paint a fantastic scene of sad nostalgia burned into readers\' minds with superb imagery . That final question rousing fresh interest re. what we hold sacred gives a stunning end Bill and what a wonderful painting too. A favourite with me without a doubt.

No matter what you write the reader sees it their way. I love the way you have disguised mugging the intellectuals here. Makes me think of Edward Lear for grown-ups.

Cracked Window
myself and me said:

It seems to me that something has been hatched inside a withered leaf, something new, fresh, bright, full of life will burst from the dead shell. Love the contrast of the dark background and the beautiful yellowish light through the semi-transparent object (leaf?). I see hope. One of your best paint. The poem fit the paint, but the paint is a winner this time.

Like us all we are all unique and see both the words and the words in different ways, the line that intrigues me is \"with a pocketful of leaves \" are we seeing leaves from a tree or leaving others or others leaving us.
In the painting I see new life.
Good write and fascinating painting WL.

A beautifully done poem. What stood out for me: \"...the solace of forgetfulness\" and \"...there is magic in the mundane\". To be honest, your poem, just like the painting has been \"...bubbling from the inside\" right from the get-go.

When I look at a painting like this I see use of tonal values and complementary shapes - okay so I can see a face beneath a crown of thorns if I really look but attempting to impose realism on work like this is at the bottom list. I love it for what it is - an almost-abstract with rather forbidding overtones. And a great write as well.

Amazing.... The poem and the painting. I saw a new self dripping from the old self. Like a cocoon, into a new exciting world. It\'s like you said though, we all see something different. \" There is magic in the mundane.\" is my favorite part

The first thing I saw in your painting was a \'haunted face\'.
Your excellent poem is so right, WL, we all see the same thing in different ways. If you have eight witnesses to a crime, you will have eight different stories.
Very good poem!

Edge of the Wind
MendedFences27 said:

Sometimes in the search for a better place we learn that where we began was the better place. The \"Edge of the Wind\" is a strange place to begin and what you heard was a mere illusion, or should I say \'allusion,\' one that was not what you were seeking. Along the way though a very descriptive journey. Terrific poetry. - Phil A.

Edge of the Wind
myself and me said:

Standing still, \"to listen to the edge of the wind\".
Keep the eye open, to seek the answer in the darkness.
Hold the breath, to wait for the messages.
Get lost in this poem. The painting is attractive.
