It hurts as a human

The times are changing as you have wonderfully shown in your words FineB.
The things that I find the worst are the lack of both politeness and respect, they may seem trivial in the world but they are important to me.

May the strength in your mind that helped you complete the walk always be with you.

When I was a lot younger it was the 50 mile London to Brighton walk.

Sharon Tate
FineB said:

Hello Fay.

Many thanks.

Yes, Sharon Tate\'s death was so bizarre and tragic and out of the blue.

Hollywood is more corporate now and certainly less hedonistic and wild compared to the days of the Swinging Sixties.

Poor young innocents got really hung up on the tinsel back then - one sad tragedy which your verse captures so well .

HI FRIEND - ANGELA HERE - Its nearly midnight (Sunday) here in NEW ZEALAND but I wanted to comment on your lovely Poem - Celebrating Disney Female role-models - before I went to bed ! From MINNIE MOUSE onwards the Disney Girls have always been an inspiration to me as have the Ladies in the Bible ! Loved all the Ladies you mentioned - the skills they possessed and the success they achieved ! In my profession PHYSIOTHERAPY the skills and gifts we Ladies bring to the Job make us equally valued as the Men so we have equal pay - equal opportunities and equal chances in promotion. What we do bring is healing hands in massage - lots of TLC for our Clients - a knowledge - and understanding - of Aromatherapy - Aquatherapy & Acupuncture which are important facets of our Job. Thanks for caring & sharing I enjoyed it !

Blessings & Peace & Joy

Felt that outburst against things that go wonky at times in our life - - dunno how I would cope for more an hour with London Underground chaos so hats off to your closing line -- better to let out built-up steam to keep things in perspective and hope this write has done that for now Fine B

Thanks FRIEND ~ Loved the Poem ! Life today all over the World - London (UK) or Auckland (NZ) is full of petty FRUSTATIONS ! Our poetic MANTRA is *When in doubt write an ACROSTIC* ! Which ~ in our experience ~ is the least frustrating POETIC FORM !

1. The number of lines is dictated
2. It doesn*t have to RHYME (yours does)
3. It doesn*t have to scan (free verse)
4. The end product always looks *classic*
5. An ACROSTIC is (by its very nature) ~
Complete & Satisfying

Good colourful write FineB.
I have never been to Kew but have been to other gardens around the country. It is wonderful to see all those colours.
The best \'garden\' that I like though is when I walk in the wild gardens of nature.

Good evening FRIEND - Brian & I love KEW GARDENS and have visited several times and also the University Botanical Gardens @ Cambridge which are only 50 miles from Essex as is Kew. We have both studied Botany (Brian moreso than me) and Ecology so we are both very interested in Gardens wherever we are in the World (Im still in New Zealand til October !) Brian teaches Plant Science (Horticulture) at College and has a big allotment for the students to use. Pleased you enjoyed KEW. We have also spent a week @ the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Helligan in Devon - very exciting for anyone intersted in *The Life of Plants* We loved your Poem & enthusiasm for Plants !

Blessings & Peace & Joy
Yours Angela & Brian ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™
