Lost and Found

Such a very good point comes across in your post today..... things move on and times change. Many things which were illegal when I was a child are now quite acceptable and folks don\'t bat an eye.

Sadly some refuse to forget the past and behaves as if they were living back then which creates a great deal of tension.

I think you wrote a first class vehicle to get your important point across.

Happy Birthday

\'rearview mirror

headlight\'s
warp, eye sight
pervert: insight...
just wanted to try and
mirror your wisdom, as feebly as I could;
thank you Jerry,
forgive me for not wishing USA
a happy birthday
but I\'ll thank it for the ingenious home comforts
its children created, to anchor modernity\'s civilisation
and I\'ll toast to your continued wellbeing
all the same my friend! 🍻

wow - these few lines make me wonder if the question you put can be answered at all with luck - words on which to ponder over Jerry.

funny part, is that
eventually we realise
its those elements of ourselves
we pawn, with - our treasures
that colour our regrets
so painfully: raw...
thanks for sharing Jerry
a fun read
with an even more important message

where we shall forever exist
as long, as existence
chooses to remain: timeless..
another wonderful shorty Jerry
measured, yet inspiring - as ever
thank you!

reminds me of a plot from Hitchcock\'s fun thrillers
titled \'Rear Window\'
only your story is seemingly set in the UK
and based on a grim reality..
an engrossing read Jerry, thank you
kinda makes me want to know
if you developed a detective character
would it be hapless/clueless type like Columbo
or a Sherlock-esque self-centred genius
or that intuitive Jessica Fletcher from murder she wrote?

L. B. Mek said:

yup, I can so relate to this poignant wording
of Poetically brunt and unfiltered truth
in our somewhat warped valuation of Art, Jerry..
and then, those splinters - that dig deep
under our thin layer of bruised - skin
lingering to torment, us
with unrealistically ambitious mirages
of self-doubting inadequacy\'s: futile musings...

we all admire and enjoy wot you post ..
although, to be honest, I dont think that is one of your concerns at all .. I do think however, you are darn good at this particular poetic genre ..
