Water
Doggerel Dave said:
The promise, apparently is that as the world heats more evaporation and hence increased rain. And in Sydney it is quite possible to believe that, as for the past several months more rain has poured down than we can possibly need. However, it appears that this effect is not evenly distributed....
Your poem has more content though, as you point to the general disregard of the environment which for the moment seems universal except for small scattered efforts. Thanks for that.

I don’t dye mine either Safina. Happy to let nature take its course. I like my grey. Good health is far more important than hair colour. Enjoy yourself, come what may, is sage advice in this finely penned poem. Happy Sunday.

The leaves
Doggerel Dave said:
Where I live too many people want to sweep them up into a bin. The trees they come from are older than the concrete paths which are swept.
I enjoy the multicolours of autumn.
Well painted picture you\'ve written.

The Lake

Wonderful descriptions and imagery.
It seemed a peaceful lake, yet one must be wary where one walks. Was this reflective of something you saw, or something created from your imagination? - Phil A.

What is love
Doggerel Dave said:
Yes, most of those would be love and not infatuation. Most take time to build and mature; they are not ephemeral.

Thank you. One item on my bucket list was a small bungalow in the countryside. Now that we have shifted to a high rise tower in a bustling city like Mumbai I think it will remain a pipe dream , though am happy where life has brought me

The imagery is such that I feel that I am there. Peaceful and beautiful. I have washed my cloths on a board in a hollow log and identify with a rustic life. I identify with the gong from the church having heard the church bell from a distant small country church. Happiness and less strife for sure. So nicely written it brings happiness to the soul.
