PS Your title is a double entendre, because \"song\" is both your subject and your medium. Its a song about song. Good on you!

I am dubious of your final couplet, but I do appreciate your rendition of the doubt of the everyday writer of his or her competence or genius. Trying to express what a poem, or song, is is always a challenge. Thanks for sharing your unvarnished thoughts on the matter, with sincerity and wit.

My shadow
Aradhya said:
i loved how you breathed life in the shadow and made me remember to appreciate everything in life, even the seemingly most unimportant ones just like a shadow. it accompanies us for life. beautifully done dear poetess!

Very true so long as you dont let the man made organised religion get in the way.
But \'he\' is a very outdated word along with silly ones like lord and saviour which are just man made affectations.

(even devoid of theological alignment
there is something very human
you\'ve depicted
within words of such brevity;
that aspect of internal struggle
between, that
we choose to place our faith in
and that, belated realisation
that we are never guaranteed
anything back, in return or reply
we
merely hope and pray
choosing to believe
this time, our despair
will be answered...)
this is so well written
thanks for sharing, dear Poet

you are mistaken my friend. on the contrary i look forward to reading your in-depth analysis : it is refreshing to hear what you have to say.. i don\'t find it over zealous, and am not annoyed. glad to have your frank reviews in fact, so please don\'t tone it down - i welcome whatever thoughts and ideas the readers have to share. good day

So very true Nafisa, strangely my partner and I were talking about this last night after seeing something on the television about changing the way you look.
I have a philosophy in life:
\"This is me if you do not like what you see that is your problem, not mine\"
My partner feels the same and to me she is beautiful all the time.

here on MPS
shared with me a quote, i feel
relevant to your write
so i\'ll pass it on:
\'\"Those who matter
don\'t mind
and those that mind
don\'t matter\"
(sometimes, we fallible humans
can\'t see the gifts before us)
thanks for sharing
I too have experienced a similar
conundrum, in the past
where the more I made myself
available
and yearned, to help
I cheapened, my worth
in the eyes of that person
and they simply assumed
i would always be there..
sadly
life\'s not so easy, so in our
time of sweet parting
i consoled myself, with the thought
that I had, given it my all
and found acceptance
and a path to move on
anchoring, that memory
to that mindset..
(if it helps
fee; free to try it yourself
\'his/her loss
so, on
to the next
knowing
no one guaranteed me
do-over, tomorrow\'s
to waste, on a past
that i can\'t change\')
