Miaree Pool

An idyllic time and place to getaway. For us perhaps it may not be Miaree but there are other such places if we know where to look! Thanks for sharing such a fun and refreshing poem. /Rik.

ChasM
Bella Shepard said:

Ah, to bridge the divide. Do we ever really resolve, or is there the ongoing struggle to know another. Who knows, maybe sometimes the chasm is what keeps us safe. I loved the playfulness of your words and the dilemma rolled into one. Great write!

I can hear the roar going up from the crowd. I was a complete soccer nut when I was in high school, many moons ago. This brings it all back. Thanks for the memory!

This has to be one of the most clever and insanity ridden things I\'ve ever read. What a unique perspective. Credit to whoever the author is!

I\'ve seen many of these pictographs in Arizona and Utah, and I love your description. It makes you realize the need all along to leave something behind. Great poem, great subject.

UNCARVED block
Bella Shepard said:

Being unfamiliar with Daoist philosophy I looked it up. The uncarved block is played upon by life, may suffer scars but can be soothed in the end. I love the symbolism and wonderful message of the piece. Not sure if I got it right , but I loved reading it.

2 degrees of summer, reality? Summer garden, reverie? A beautiful portrait of nature as the balm that soothes and gives us respite. A beautiful poem!

Who knew that fried rice, not just any fried rice, but Tianjin Dongcai, could add so much spice to life. Sounds like a wonderful recipe, got hungry just reading it. You\'ve lightened my day!

在長城睡夜 Great Wall Beauty
Bella Shepard said:

Snake, roast rabbit, brew tea, exchange tales, green plots. Ordinary things that cross paths with marching horses, soldiers, messages in puffs of smoke. What I take away from this is cherish the ordinary and simple because you never know when the tide of life may turn on something as simple as a puff of smoke. I love the way you have phrased this, it really seems to imbue the culture. A great write!

Quantum Love: Bard Heard Songs
Bella Shepard said:

Poetry written in the language of physics, but then physics is our whole existence. So much that you have covered is familiar, and I wish I could understand it all, but I\'m content to know that it all exists and there are those people who never have, nor ever will stop the quest to learn all that is possible about everything. A challenging, but most enjoyable read, I\'ve always liked a challenge.

The Bard Returns from the Future
Bella Shepard said:

When I found this title I had to read, and oh what a read! Wonderfully and intelligently crafted. You take us on an amazing ride through history, with the bard as guide. I can imagine how thrilled Shakespeare would have been to see the future, and what he might have written about it. The more I read the more I loved.

\'A force Strength in Weakness
like Daoist Dualism

A universal link
Ubiquitous existence
Interaction at a distance
Avoiding cataclysm and Chaos\'..
what a verse! a great read
thanks for sharing dear poet
(I hope, somewhere
there\'s a white hole
to juxtapose, its twin - black
like that Daoist, ideal
that threadbare balance in our universe
a thought, that has us hoping
for our bad days, someone
gets a nice day
and we in turn
await for karma, to return
that same favour...)

(loved this thought provoking
and challenging, read
thanks for sharing and inspiring
my feeble reply, dear Poet)
sometimes I can\'t help thinking, what if
Marco
had met, Genghis
instead..
what would our world Map
look like
and would it still be
that first come, first serve
of Speed
ruling, our reality\'s ambitions..
and what if those Celtic, Gaul\'s
hadn\'t underestimated, Caesar
and what if Caesar, had never created
\'Acta Diurna\'
would modernity, still have ended-up
being toyed with
by politically motivated
endlessly sensationalised
treacherous, bulletin reels..
or maybe
would we have evolved
into a world, that first waited
to see who crossed
that finishing line, of fate
before celebrating
our assumption of victory
in life...
