Boiled Fruit cake
L. B. Mek said:

ok so never noticed the FU in fun
being utilised like that
I might have to borrow it, lol
I too like to cook
so found this interesting, although
I usually use Rum, when I use alcohol
in my bakes
and have to admit, I buy Panettone
fruitcakes
rather than baking them myself
and then just add a drop of rum on my slice..
thanks for sharing

Awe inspiring, what poetic genius
you choose to share, dear Poet
(there is so many ways to read and interpret
but for me
that your continent, is so sparsely
inhabited
makes this dialogue, so poignant
a land where its Prime Minster
can go missing
and its not even that widely remembered
or known
insures, people like me
can never fully understands
the cultural mappings and workings
so yeah, the progressive
are the renting \'townies\'
while the backwater, unknowing
own, their lands
but
are marginalised in importance
sadly, its the same story all over..)
well that\'s my skewed reading
forgive me

He visits the Conscience
L. B. Mek said:

sad, that i see myself in this inked murky waters
then again my conceit has me being reflected
in almost every poem I read
what a shallow, existence
to be present
everywhere, but never
settled anywhere
a needy existence, maybe
even a wasted, existence..
oh well
\'we are, what
we will, become
we can but strive
till we witness
our outcomes...\'
one more sigh, forgotten
thoughts
of left-over lunches, gripped
as threadbare, lifelines
and so, onwards
we move
in-Hope
knowing, this too
shall pass
soon enough

I do try to block out
all the noise, in generically

I have stumbled a few times
when coming, across
the zealotry passion, with which
people, fervently converse
that, most enthralling
of all subjects
\'The

lol
we be funny creatures, we

They who pinch other\'s words will incur the wrath of the original writers!
Someone elsewhere had the nerve to put his own pic next to some words he pinched. Poets were furious!

THEPLAGIARIST
Pearcemelville ๅ…Žๆ• said:

This poem was inspired by the rudeness with which I was treated so I devised
The Plagiarist
who has transcribed the poem of a guest poet from the group, enriched her metaphor, balanced the language timbre, enthused the dynamic, well, afforded it dynamic.

Result is a poem that satisfies my personal sense of worth, for a private collection. A worthy exercise, I feel, to free the mind from composition, to offer terms that strengthen metaphor, provide greater balance. If a poem begins in a style that speaks to a common, grassroots humanity, I ask why burden the reader with flowery language?

I am left with a kind of literary critique, with suggested edits for selected readers, safe in anonymity
within the public domain by not publishing the source text, though I have done so on this occasion.

If it is in your interest, perhaps I could send the original to your inbox, or provide me with an address.

I feel sorry for Plagiarist\'s
and even more so
for those
running around, accusing poets
of writing like this poet or other..
see
there is nothing crueller, than abusing
Yourslef
by forcing, Yourslef
to scrape those depths
of self-worthlessness
to degrade your creativity
by stealing from another...
its just so, so Pathetically futile
because
no one forces us, to endure
this writing thing, we Try
to do
so, to go to those lengths
warping
that sense of self-Enforced
ambition
is just, so
so Pathetic..

Bella Shepard said:

Oh dear friend, thank you for reminding us, an anniversary date not be be forgotten. I remember watching this live on TV, and couldn\'t absorb the reality of what was happening. The bravery of the individual and the cowardice of the regime that cannot tolerate any form of criticism or protest. The human heart yearns to be free.

A truth of human nature I guess. Be careful what you say and to whom. You\'ve captured this predicament very well. It takes on a life of its own, and too often becomes far from the truth. Good write.
