I cried tears over spilt milk - if that relates to this in any way? Probably not! lol.
I baulk at the convolutions in cryptic poems, and sometimes add some daft, inane comment instead!

First. Love the Everly Brothers. Second, that picture is making me tear. 🤣 Finally, tears are indeed healing. I have not cried more than I have in the past year...guess I\'m finally catching up to where I should have been all along...but those tears have brought healing, for sure. Bravo, my friend, this poem hit home! 🌹👏

Like most of your writing this poem requires thought and rereading to grasp its meaning. In its depth swirl emotions as well as thoughts and in those tears of rain the pain of cracked and broken past events are mended. Very nicely done my friend

Oh, there is always room for tragic, heroism maybe not so much. \"The scaffold, a dark spectre, looms ever closer\" covers a lot of ground. Nice.

It comes in many forms feeling on your own, individual isolation, an individual in a crowd, or even a group of people battling on their own, feeling the world has ignored them. Mor about todays mindset, only worry what`s on our doorstep and don`t look down the street enough. Enjoyed the thought provoking read

Words to give thought.I particularly loved \"people together, alone\" so often true and in the deepest sense always true. A poem of increasing depth the more it is read

Such wonderful imagery if not a bit gory 🤣, usually I dislike reading epics but this had me on the edge of my seat, yes a wonderful tale of courage and a shout out to Dickens no less, kudos. Brilliantly written. 🌹

A wonderful rendering of Charles\' Dickens\'s \"A Tale of Two Cities\" and the haunting picture of the Reign of Terror it presents. Not too heavy for my tastes friend. Well done on this...for real! 🌹👏

A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens. Sydney Carton being the hero. Taking the place of his beloved’s husband. He also offered comfort to the seamstress before they both met their fate. What a book, what a celebration of English Literature and you have composed a very fine poem here, inspired by that classic. Well done arqios.

As Emily Dickinson said, ‘There is no frigate like a book to take us lands away’.
Your words became a bit ‘Hypnotic’ as I went along, telling me ‘Read a Book’.
Which is one of my Loves.
Just finished ‘A Christmas Carol’, I like to read it every December .
A unique way to express Reading in a Poem. Nice One.
