Astro-naughts
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Shaun, this is confrontational and deliberately unsettled. The wordplay, the pop culture jabs, the cosmic suspicion all stack toward that final threat of detonation. You’re not arguing a case so much as daring the reader to sit with the paranoia. It’s raw, restless, and committed to its stance. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

A poem that has many levels where we know the world to be flat and that man can never fly. All those so call flights from Miami to Brazil mere illusions hypnotized by 3-D imagery. A fun read

Have I Grown Too Complacent?
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Great job Shaun! What really lands is the tension between plotting change and staying still. That question of complacency doesn’t feel rhetorical…it feels like something you’re genuinely turning over, again and again. That repetition gives the piece its weight. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

The questioning in this poem leave a lingering feeling of unrest and the raising the issue of other dimensions takes it to another level. Well done

The Running Man (2025)
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Shaun, this comes across as relaxed, playful, and self-aware. You acknowledge the cultural noise around the film without letting it dictate your response. That balance between fandom and independence makes the poem land cleanly. Enjoyed this. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

A good read of nostalgia. Remember the first and haven\'t seen the second so no judgement there. The old Arnold films full of action and one liners. Well done

Black Hearted Narcissists
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Pic reminds me of a young Maleficent! This, Shaun, is is sharp and unafraid. The rage is controlled, the imagery cuts clean, and the final turn exposes what’s been hiding in plain sight all along. It’s direct…and that honesty is its power. Love it, my friend!🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Such an interesting combination black hearted and narcissism that recipe seem to be antisocial or what we used to call a psychopath. A good read

Born Anew
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Shaun, this reads like a confession in motion. Anger, doubt, resolve, and longing all coexist, circling the idea of being “born anew” not as a finish line but as a slow, unfinished process. That honesty is its strength. Well done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Born Anew
orchidee said:

Yet we are born anew - or \'born from above\' or \'born again\' - once we receive the Holy Spirit. This can come at the same time as accepting salvation or may come at a separate time. This is how I see it. I suppose one knows they are born, that they are alive - even a certain character who has gone home could know this. We knows him. lol.

This poem uses the term born in a religious manner that then would make sense in the terms of feeling different since born. Nicely written

How angry do we have to be before we do something about it? How many of us have to be mad before change happens? The comfortable never fight back. Fantastic message in a poem, well written!

Complacency, indifference, we\'re all guilty.

I Feel For Those Suffering
sorenbarrett said:

It is the last line that gives chills. Complacency is the great villain and the turning of the head not wanting to see or get involved. There is not enough support for the good Samaritan instead they are drug into a nightmare of red tape and publicity that ruins their day if not life. A sad poem
