Shaun, this speaks to me. We spend so much time being productive, social, busy, or available that an unplanned quiet day can feel almost rebellious. I completely understand the appeal of simply staying in and listening to the rain. Wonderful write, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬

Timeline Trauma
Tristan Robert Lange said:
Shaun, what struck me most is the idea of \"timeline trauma.\" Whether taken literally or metaphorically, itβs a fascinating phrase because it captures the experience of feeling disconnected from what once seemed certain. That concept carries a lot of weight throughout the poem. Beautifully done, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬

Ahh, page 2, the next page after page 1. If I had turned over the first page in my book I would have found that out! lol.
And now my own book: \'All About ET\'. It\'s over a thousand pages long. lol.

Mortal Kombat II
Tristan Robert Lange said:
This really brought a smile, my friend. I like how you balance your personal connection to the franchise with a quick rundown of the action. The fights, the familiar faces, the quest for the amulet, and those shocking fatalities all make it feel like a fan\'s honest reaction rather than a review. And the ending leaves that same feeling the film apparently did...now we wait and see what part three brings. Fun write. You\'re basically saying \"Get over here!\" to part 3 rather than \"Fatality!\" to part 2. π I totes now want to see it. Thanks for the poetic review! ππ₯·

Shaun, I can\'t help it...the moment I saw Liverpool my brain immediately went to the Beatles. π That aside, there is a real tension in this piece between technological progress and human connection. The contrast between the Cyberpunk character and real-life choices especially landed for me. Thought-provoking write, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬

Secret Societies Should Be Banned
Tristan Robert Lange said:
Shaun, you got me with this one. Part of me wants to say, \"Aww...what would the fun in that be?\" π€£ Ironically, thought, that was pretty much the Roman argument against those secretive early Christians gathering behind closed doors. Funny thing is...these days we\'re often a lot closer to Rome than we\'d care to admit. That said, underneath my humor, I truly do appreciate the concern brought forth in this poem, and that is no laughing matter. Power hidden from accountability has always made people uneasy...perhaps not enough...and you\'ve captured that sharply. Wonderful write, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬

An Anomaly

Shaun, this is one heck of a vent. The poem doesn\'t hide its feelings for a second...it challenges, questions, and confronts from beginning to end. The closing line especially leaves the reader with a direct challenge that lingers. Strong work, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
