A Walk Into Town
sorenbarrett said:
Quite descriptive in its imagery it seems a literal poetic painting yet something nags at my mind asking about the possible metaphor involved in this picture. Fallen tree, narrow passage, society on the other side, could there be?

I\'ve had to turn back on walks sometimes - trees that have fallen, and I cannot get over nor under them.

This could be titled \'January 6th\' - the festival of the Epiphany. lol. Rhyming with relevance - yes what rhymes with \'vunce\'? lol. You seen many vunces around?
A puzzle is: What rhymes with \'orange\'? Something \'inge\' (sounds like part of hinge). lol
Do shut up now, you\'re rambling, says my talking dog Fido to me!

For the first time ever I\'m giving a fave for a just two lines of wordplay and difficult word rhyme
(Artificial intelligence will rule with an iron fist but no real relevance,
While the elites pack their trunks up and move away like elephants.)
The double meaning on trunk and its application to the previous line in elephant and to the present line elite packing makes this charming but this is added to by the difficulty in rhyming the word elephant. For that feat along a fave my friend

The Heaviness Of Halloween
Tristan Robert Lange said:
Well written Shawn. Philosophically/Theologically, what would the light be without the darkness? Horror has always been some of the more moralistic tales, the Bible is loaded with it, and Halloween happens to be this Christianβs favorite holiday. Truth is, apart from the sun we all sit in night eternal...and the same could be said spiritually too. So I say embrace itβ¦Jesus did...and let your light shine all the more. Big Ol\' Jack-O\'-Lantern certainly helps with the light shining too. π πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬

Idk, there were these whole subcultures of music back then Glam and Hair Metal, New Wave, and Goth. Rocky Horror Picture Show. Plenty of makeup and nail polish to be worn by guys back then! π€£ This was a fun nostalgic piece. Loved the image too. Almost grew a beard looking at it. If only hair on top of my head would grow! π I\'ll stop rambling and just say, well done, my friend! πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
