Feelings of impending doom in this poem with no one listening , believing or caring. A sense of urgency is left. Well written

Well, if and when the proverbial honeymoon ends, hopefully the relationship thus begun endures. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy, thank you for sharing.

A fun poem with good meaning as well. Some great lines (Ego has fallen down no longer a noose) It promotes that idea of change and how it does not stop here. Well done

Extremes to be conquered with mediation take the middle road is what I get from this poem. A fun but informative read.

Feeding The Squirrels
Tristan Robert Lange said:
Love this...and I confess. I love squirrels (outside) and all rodents (outside 🤣). Squirrels, groundhogs, chipmunks, mice, etc. love them all. Conversely, I also love snakes. See the problem with me EVER owning a snake? So, I don\'t! Anywho, this is a great metaphor on top of reminding me of my love for these bushy tailed creatures. I think I first got my love from my great-Grandfather who was an animal lover and, ironically, used to sit out in in his back yard and feed his squirrel neighbors. I remember one he named, \"Shorty\", because he was missing half of his tail. Shorty and the other squirrels would take whole peanuts from his hand, shell them and eat them there! Not joke. Have loved those crazy, squirrely critters ever since! Now, that was a whole lot about squirrels and not your poem. Let me say this, I love your poem and the metaphor too. Powerful stuff, mate. Great job! 🌹👏 And thank you for sparking the memories!

Feeding The Squirrels

How sweet. Mine took possession of my deck, played in every single potted planter until most were dead, and believed whatever foodstuffs I stored in a tote on my deck were his, destroying several which barred his entrance, and scolding me when I walked to and from my garage if I took away the foodstuffs. However, when I pleaded with him to be careful in the huge parking lots, telling him I didn\'t want to see him injured or hurt... the next time I drove away, he stood on his hind legs, front paws clasped together, and waited for my car to pass before crossing. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Squirls can be greedy like humans taking more food than what they need they bury it only to forget where they put it. Some people eat them, my kid used to play with them, even bringing them in the house, I just tolerate them and they just tolerate me. Fun read

Ready or not, the tests have come...and I\'m getting more impressed at the results as I go. 20 years ago...not so much! LOL! All of life is a test, or a series of them really, and it would be impossible to imagine life, as it is, differently. Well done, mate! 👏❤️
