A fun story about Tyler Brown and the demon drink. Loved the Keith Moon mention. Now he was something else. I knew his mother. Such a quiet soul. Enjoyed the write Kevin.

Loved the poetic inventiveness and playfulness with the language in this poem. A fun story with a point that is told well in rhyme. For its poetic use of language it deserves a fave

Quite the stark contrast between his choices and a more serene alternative. But recovery isnβt ever easy. Superbly moving poem ππ»πππ»

A lovely tale of the daily jaunt of a alcoholic with a nice ending, but to have Keith Moon playing drums in your head just goes to show you are in a bad way ( it is a great line), really enjoyed the read.

Whatβs that famous line about having to receive all the Bennetts in the country? Someone should really put to pen a spin off on Mary Bennet! ππ»π

This lovely piece takes me back to a time of real communities, everyone worked in the same factory`s, lived in the same houses, looked after each other. When the pits and the factory`s closed the people lost so much, but also the nations fabric was broken. Great piece of writing

Walking to work, the factory gates, the camaraderie. You took me back sometime. Factory closures, redundancy and hardship. That certainly paints a sad picture. How difficult that must have been to navigate. Matchstick men. I am familiar with Lowry. A devastating time for many.

Oh I hope it is not the last, I see that there is some room and some use for free verse as well... but the Graveyard, yes. It is a place of honour and privilege, even intimacy; in stark contrast to its cold and often bare ambience. Much enjoyed this Kevin ππ»πποΈ

Oh the tension, wit, and underlying emotions of the characters involved. The structured rhyming pattern and rhythmic flow evoke the charm of the Regency era, while providing a fresh perspective on the social dynamics at play. Well done! ππ»ππ»π
