The Beauty Within

Self awareness in this poem. Hard to read in these colors I wondered it this was part of the message and if what is hard to see is a reference to what is hard to see in us and others. A lovely write

I particularly like the second stanza worded so well in feelings that so many can identify with a kind of life of Walter Mitty most lovely

Always The Artist, Never The Muse
sorenbarrett said:

A most wonderful poem from the heart of a poet. Many yearn for fame, others honor, some for recognition, yet others love. A poet is only the tool, so few reach fame, Homer, Shakespeare, Poe, Longfellow to mention a few but it is not our image or words that remain for posterity but the impressions we have left in their minds that they no longer identify with what was written or where it was heard. We are whispers forgotten of foot prints left. This poem echoes with this.

The Twist At The End

Anger hides in this poem and seeps out in the desire for vengeance. A poem of feeling mislabeled and scorned. Nicely done

Alcestis

A poem with a message and set to varying rhyme that keeps the reader on their toes. Easily identifiable either in oneself or someone that one knows. And some that are quiet have a short fuse after a while an unexpected explosion. Not understood it becomes a mine field. Nicely written
