There is anguish and yet hope in this poem. It speaks of pain past and present and the striving to prevent it. Lovely

A strong write of long term impact abuse has on people and how hard it is to forget, the littlest trigger brings it all back and the cycle starts again, nicely expressed write

Emotion so full of layers only to be found out later as they are peeled away in the aftermath of consequences. This poem delves with complexities of competing emotions and thought itself about what is right and wrong with relationships. Nicely written

(On the Indian poet)
\"..... in regard to external nature he has a refined sensibility and a feeling of communion.\"
-------
\"But in the main the sentiment of the Indian poet is not artificial or complex in the sense of nineteenth- or twentieth-century civilisation. Even his aesthetic theory, much more his philosophic mysticism, has deep emotional potency; if he nourishes devotion (bhakti) towards a personal divinity, that is a consuming passion; in regard to external nature he has a refined sensibility and a feeling of communion; (.....) (P : 199). -- F. W. THOMAS.
From : \"THE LEGACY OF INDIA.\" (Edited by G. T. Garratt). Introduction by the Marquess of Zetland. Oxford : The Clarendon Press, 1937.
This poem speaks of \"As I embrace all of its beauty.\" This is communion with nature.

Things I\'d Never Say To You
sorenbarrett said:
Sad any child neglected deserves more. But then any person neglected deserves more. When you bring someone into this world you become responsible for them. It pulls at the heart strings and brings tears. Can any of us say that we have not neglected someone when we shouldn\'t? Instead of pointing fingers should we not look in a mirror and do better ourselves. A lovely powerful write.

Self awareness in this poem. Hard to read in these colors I wondered it this was part of the message and if what is hard to see is a reference to what is hard to see in us and others. A lovely write
