Katie, the idea of a perfectly arranged space that still feels empty or imprisoning is something many people can relate to. The tidy order becomes almost a mask over the deeper emotions moving beneath it. Fabulous job on this. A fave, for sure.🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

In a secluded room fantasy reigns. A poem that is dark and carries the feelings of depression in luxury. Well done Katie

Sun and Moon
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Katie, I like how this poem moves through the cycle of day and night as if two quiet guardians trade places. The reluctant sun and watchful moon create a subtle narrative of transition. The closing images of moonlit alleys and prowling cats give the night its own personality. Well done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Abundance
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Katie, there’s a beautiful thread of gratitude running through this…seeing grace in birds in the sky, mercy in forgiveness, and love in human embrace. The image of Blue Jays suspended by grace opens the poem with a sense of wonder that carries all the way through. It leaves the reader with that same feeling of quiet abundance. Well done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

A Taste of You

The song depicts love as an act of nourishment and healing, where body and soul merge in a sensual, almost ritualistic experience that oscillates between tenderness and elemental strength. Expertly written!

Tristan Robert Lange said:

Katie, this feels so peaceful and grounding. The whole poem moves like a gentle walk through memory and nature…each image slowing the breath a little more. There’s a quiet gratitude in these lines that really lingers. Beautiful piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

In the End
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Katie, reading this reminds me how love sometimes arrives in fragments rather than full sentences…small impressions, sensations, and words that build into something larger. The way you let those pieces accumulate gives the poem a gentle, yet powerful rhythm. It’s simple but heartfelt. Well done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Fine words Katie, watching the news only shows the bad things in life but I know that there are more better things in life that are never reported.

Katie, this reads like someone trying to protect their inner ground while the outside world burns… there’s a tension between withdrawal and wisdom that runs through the whole piece. The poem wrestles honestly with that question of what we carry and what we let go. The final line lingers quietly: “So many have closed.” Thoughtful reflection, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Katie I have walked that road felt those feeling come to the same conclusions and now remain discontent with what lies outside of me. A hard read but identifiable. Nicely done and raw to the point of pain

An Insidious Illness
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Katie, this is painfully honest… the exhaustion in these lines feels real and unfiltered. The everyday details make the heaviness tangible. When a poem names that kind of inner battle so plainly it takes real courage. Thank you for putting it into words, my friend. Powerfully penned, for sure. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

An Insidious Illness
sorenbarrett said:

Powerful it speaks of being drugged with depression where society created troubles overwhelm to the point of giving up. And so it is that society maintains control of the masses with a gas and drug that no one takes responsibility for but those in power gain by. Doped to the point of thoughtlessness the people comply numbly and the economy and politics meander onward. Nicely worded
