Poetic
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Katie, this shines with a grounded joy…the “more I write, the more I write” line caught me, and I know that feeling of shaping life around the work. Passion, not inconvenience. You said it beautifully, my friend! Well done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Paul Bell said:

Well put, the distraction when all around you are in turmoil, you\'re in writing.
Every situation has a start, a middle and an end, and a picture forms from this.
Also, very cathartic when the words appear.

A declaration of poetry\'s value in a life. The incorporation of words and verse in the shaping of a day. Language the greatest invention that sets us apart and unites us refined in poetry as an expression of the soul. it directs and gives purpose as well as defines us. A most lovely write

Simple words carrying the angst of loneliness. I am rather simple minded and I connect with poems that convey deep emotions in a simple way. I firmly believe it\'s easy enough to make things difficult but very difficult to make things easy enough. I read it in your poem 🙏

There\'s a point in the morning that\'s yours.
Sadly, it never lasts long enough to take it in completely.
Someone has to make the breakfast.

Depression sure is debilitating, and winter time doesn\'t help any.
I can see why animals hibernate and humans pull the blanket over themselves.
There is lots of help, it\'s just finding what suits you at that time.

This one is dark but then so is depression. When caused by an event it is difficult but when biological one feels cursed. I loved the repeat in that it reinforces the feel that depression constantly returns and if feels that it always will. Powerful

The odds on that horse just lured me in, but I have my health.
Now what is the likelihood of this other horse, Paul\'s fate, romping in at a hundred to one.
Okay, still have my health.

A lovely message so well said. Everything is relative and often the dream is more than reality and our vision is diverted from what we have to what we wish. Far better to focus on the good that the not realized. A fave
