No Poison Between Us
L. B. Mek said:

how sad, when we let others infiltrate and poison
our relationship
with that avenue for solace and self-expression
we painstakingly, excavated
for ourselves:
from ourselves...

The Little Was Big
jarcher54 said:

I appreciate your little poems... they are dense, full of surprises, and hard enough to decipher to be elusive, but rewarding to work through.

Do you have a name for the 3X3 verse form you use? What made you pick that style? Reminds me a little of Dante. It\'s very limiting in a way that keeps you efficient and direct. You have but a few lines to say your piece, so you have to make it succinct and bold.

I read your poems like little riddles. They are becoming like my daily sudoku!

Haif- Promises

I\'m intrigued by your bold, simple juxtaposed images of despair. The right to go insane will stick with me... very intense expression. Small things heavy, you cannot buy water. The literal \"story\" of the poem is beautifully elusive, but there is no mistaking what it says! Thanks for this little gem.

Silver Bleeds Red
L. B. Mek said:

\'My gold rings sit on the moon.\'
\'I don\'t claim my pain.\'
\'The end waits at the door.\'
\'I got you easyunder\'
\'I am yet afraid of me.\'
\'The dry leaves, carry\'..
that sublime artistry of poetic brevity, such a great read!

The Little Was Big
L. B. Mek said:

\'Not dependent on poverty
of truth, time
leaves the green amputation
on the: heart.\'
stupendously, profound!

The Massive Glory
L. B. Mek said:

so deep, even excavated line by line
this worded fountain of insightful wisdom
shan\'t ever be unfurled in its entirety,
testimony to how you\'ve tamed
such a wide ranging, yet focused - study
with practised skill of brevity and conveyed sincerity
whilst managing to deliver, such acute commentary

Life Has Become A Constant
L. B. Mek said:

\'The roots are spiking
up to talk to the sun.\'
a constant, where solitude\'s darkness
yields daredevil roots of Icarus dreams
only we\'re at an age
where that well trodden myth, is well known
so instead of wings
we sprout whispered wishes, to glide
with the winds of Time..
such a brilliant read, Guru!

I Was Your Destiny
L. B. Mek said:

\'that graduation of age
brown-mark tagging, shrivelled opportunity
upon once pudgy, squeezy cheeks
of untameable beginning\'s, to all of potential\'
far too quick: we blink...

Why This Madness
L. B. Mek said:

brilliant!
\'This injures\' - your choice word placement hit home, hard
just goes to show, poetry is not always about eloquence or imagery, that hard earned skill of placing you words to maximise their effect, is such an underrated quality..
what a talent, you choose to share dear poet
thank you

Infatuation
L. B. Mek said:

\'Necrosis of old arches
follows the juvenile genius\'..
such a targeted use of purposed imagery, clinical in its delivery and meaningful in its brevity
a great read

Poverty Was Beautiful
L. B. Mek said:

worded depiction of the virtues extracted, from a chosen life of simplicity
where searching humility reigns supreme
and self-love: is no mere act of vanity..
yet another wonderful read

Diet Of Tears
L. B. Mek said:

such great imagery! poetry
of tears trapped within cacti of bitter goodbye
and when you look up
for that last threadbare ark of a guiding light:
\'Myriad stars compete
with me to know my
worth in dark. A rolling
death of swans has dried up the lake.\'

Thinking Haikus
L. B. Mek said:

(a great write, thanks for inspiring my feeble reply, Guru!)..
\'Disingenuous
robed, as sanctimonious
fear\'s: harmonious\'..
going against nature\'s empathy
a failure
like, my haiku\'s lack of integrity...

Looking Deep
L. B. Mek said:

if only I had the context to fully appreciate the level of emotionality you\'ve imbued in your deceptively surgical words of targeted precision..
still, thank you for a great read

Such Was Our Planet
L. B. Mek said:

if only life was so easy..
an escape pod of ark\'s for all then dear poet?
infidel\'s and the blind faithful alike, shoulder to shoulder as if height differences, were the only polarising factors left to overcome..

Small Mercies
L. B. Mek said:

yup, I too despair
commentary poetry at its insightful best,
\'congratulatory smokes\' indeed

Call Of Unseen
L. B. Mek said:

(forgive me, I was just trying to decipher the sentiment\'s or messages in your write with my below response, let me apologise in advance for making any misrepresentation of your intentions)..
if \'clouds\' represent misguiding featherweight thought\'s,
and the inherited \'river of bloodied\' consequence that demands its pound of \'futile flesh\' is revenge,
then the \'plurality\' I assume resembles the multiple response one may have to the bequeathed reality they exist within,
ultimately: citing the \'hummingbirds\' gentile nature for restraint and patience, that encompasses every ideal and belief claiming to respect life,
as a dam:
against the proliferate nature for the cyclical culture of ignorance for our reactionary actions, inevitable consequences

A Ghost Dream
L. B. Mek said:

\'a tale of relationship\'s discourse between our perceived course of life and that fate - waiting, to trip us off-course and on to the track that\'s just right, for us..
important to acknowledge all the participants when we remember disagreements, one side
seldom has all the answers\'..
a great read! (sorry if I\'ve misinterpreted your words dear poet)

March 12th, 2021 06:29

Precarity
L. B. Mek said:

such emotive words, worded to engage and search with deliberate intent, nudging
your self-questioning thought\'s into our dulled moments, enticing
us to take a second, and while considering the maze that is your poem, discover
answers to our labyrinthic perspective of self-worth..
who dares to stare at that winking moon, when its moonlight glares and bares our shadowed thought\'s, aside our fearful dreams: within our inadequacy\'s, tears..
a great write!

Untitled Oneness
L. B. Mek said:

\'I start with a blank
page, unwritten― but
worth reading.\'
if that ain\'t just a perfect depiction of a poet\'s relationship with every new beginning..
