This poem has a definite child like quality to it with a sense of pleasure in pleasure. Fun in its innocence

It is sad to see this Tony. When I went back to my home town a couple of years ago my school, built in 1703, was a car-park!!

Decay takes its way in all things. Entropy rules. We may say it is sad but from decay comes new growth.

Such a contrast between the abandoned school and the place once filled with joy and laughter. A poignant poem Tony.

The abandoned state of this school, and the melancholy brought by the memory of its once-filled halls, really comes through in this Tony. Enjoyed the read. ❤️🙏

In a way the barn standing alone can represent poems and poetry that are the only physical reminder of the poet’s ghost, an imprint of meaning and worded expression.

Good write T. I read of an old barn built about 1400, used as a church, now as a storage shed.

A ghost story set in an old barn on a hill. Tale from the past about a loss that won\'t let go.

Wonderful...and this reminds me of when I was a teenager and wrote poetry and would share it with my friends,. This one best friend I had then was allowed to let people write things on her wall. Several poems, in several places, were crafted there. I will never remember what they were...but writing them with her and others by me, that memory will never fade as long as I\'ve got my faculties about me. Again...a wonderful poem, Tony! Thanks for walking me down memory lane! 🌹👏 Faved.
