Hi DA,

Our beliefs come from all that we know, which is precious little.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment.

Whilst they were believing the world was flat some guys got together and decided to create a thing called religion. Along came a guy over a thousand years later who proved the world revolved around the sun.... the religious guys branded hima a heretic and imprisoned him..... that guy was Galileo... 300 years later the religious guys agreed he was right....
It\'s incredible some of the beliefs people hang onto..

I really enjoyed your writing today.

So very true. This why religion captures the mind of the young naive inflicting a lifetimes brainwashing of control.

I love this. It resonated with my own reality and is creatively written. Well done.

Scarface maybe LOL.

Your words today echo thoughts i have had many times but hey-ho, my decisions seemed worthy at the time. The passage of time and the benefit of hindsight however do throw quite a different hue upon things.

I think you will have many reflecting back with your piece to day.

I found this format/layout too difficult to read and absorb the content. There are one or two poets on here who always use this format though.

Wow, how very true. Everything means nothing, and vice versa. There is meaning in all things, yet at the same time everything is meaningless. This is a nice write. Two thumbs up.

Good write and so true in many cases but we need to think for ourselves, there is a good world out there with good people in it we need to be able to find it and them.

Can I have a slices of that cake, just the bit with the red and white on it please. LOL

Your style is pretty unique and refreshing, John. I like poetry about the state of existence and the hidden truths of the world. More people should be in to it if you ask me. A much enjoyed read.
