You are so great. I love the first 4 lines, and the next and the next, and so on, and have read that over and over. Excellent as always Psentinel.

No, do not sleep forever...wake up and write some more! I can relate to how the person in this poem feels, when there is something you just cannot put to sleep..no pun intended..and it keeps at you. I usually get up and write something and then go back and try to fall asleep. Also, I try not to drink any coffee, etc. that would keep me from falling off to sleep...:)

The Ankh of Memory
WriteBeLight said:
Excellent, yet horrid narrative and descriptions of the battlefield. The bloated corpses punched me in the nose with the thought of the stench! You have a gift, that is for sure! Happy New Year to you!

I know people like that....:) Sounds like a very big EGO. That is what I get. I especially like that here is no ghost in the person\'s shell.

Augustus said:
I gather from the speaker that the mind and body are racing but it is all for naught as what is created is destroyed. Also that there is fear and anxiety. This all is in marked contrast to the poem which is remarkable in it\'s rhyme, meter and cohesion.
