You capture the feeling all preemies must have when thinking of days when survival was low for those so born before medical advancement and thank you A.H. for this caring verse dedicated to premature birth babies as reminder to value each precious day.

Into the Night
dusk arising said:

There are many who have lived through this inescapable tragedy and simply had to get on with life making whatever sense of the future that they can. That\'s just the way it is. What goes around, comes around.

Meantime, live your life to the full.

Into the Night
A.H. Browning said:

Thank you very much for reading and commenting. You are right in saying, “life is for living to the full, since we never know when our time is up.”

These thoughts have been rolling around in my mind for a while.

My favorite drummer, Neal Peart died from glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, on January 7, 2020, in Santa Monica, California. He had been diagnosed three and a half years earlier, and the illness was a closely guarded secret in Peart\'s inner circle until his death. His family made the announcement on January 10.
This was never disclosed to the public during his three year battle. He chose to live life, as fully as he could until the inevitable.

I suppose there are many ends to life, though the worse one surely is there\'s nothing we can do for you. I suppose some draw on their faith, some may not even mention it to others. Likewise, I agree life is for living to the full, since we never know when our time is up.

Have to fly like an eagle in our own direction .... the News is all about people who want power mostly and they don\'t know how to live, only how to manipulate. Putting most of them on mute renders them impotent. I wonder what they will think about on their deathbeds....

Your words well nail the situation today friend -as \"life without light\" - agree too that daily news encourages such fear that many now choose to put Hope in first place again -- - -thanks for this powerful reminder.

Autumn Night
A.H. Browning said:

You made me laugh 😂. I love it.
In the summer of 2013 we had, seemingly almost every day, something very similar to your ‘surprise’ showers. Trust me, they were never a pleasant surprise 😂. I figured they must’ve been a plague that Moses forget to use. The fact that it was sunny made no difference. Eventually, around mid-day, a quick shower would pop up. It wouldn’t last long; just long enough to ensure that when the sun did come back out, the humidity would skyrocket and it would feel like a sauna outside. I was not a fan of that. I will gladly and thankfully let you win this ‘contest’. 🤣

There would be such a day, when all our troubles fall away - if only I would stop singing for 24 hours! heehee. I doubt I will though. I\'m the cause of this misery. lol.
