We have large unpolluted lake in our local Woods & Blackbirds - Coots - Ducks - Grebe - Swans & Geese are everyday fare. BUT to glimpse a Kinghfisher - IN FLIGHT - lifts one into a different dimension ! Thanks for sharing !

I returned from a walk down the country lanes with a pocket full of samples of wild flowers (only small samples so as not to cause any damage to the environment) which I couldn\'t name so I could identify them at home with the aid of a book. I was completely taken by surprise at the sheer numbers of different flowers now on display - I never counted them but they must have been i
well over 20 just on my short walk.
great write Andy.

Must be the lack of traffic along riverside and the general hullabaloo of the town has relaxed the atmosphere sufficiently. I only saw one once over a stream in herefordshire about 30 yrs ago... so memorable.
Super write reminds us of the beauty of this world.

I like to think that, like in Borges\' story The Library of Babel, all possible versions of your poem exist until you, like some anti-intellectual barbarian, destroy all the versions but the one that\'s left. Thanks for your thoughtful little poem and for not destroying the last version.

Yes, I collect them. I run around in the early hours and wave my wordnet wildly in the hope of inspirational gain.
Well, that\'s my story for today anf i\'m sticking to it. I collected some beauties earlier,... watch out for them in the near future.

Great \'off the wall\' subject from you today - love it.

It\'s said that nothing is ever erased from our minds, that it\'s all in there somewhere. When trying to remember, e.g. a name of someone, we may not recall it at once, but maybe hours or even couple of days later - from the depths of our mind. Unless empty-headed (no change there then?! lol).

These morning walks are the best, walking before it gets too hot. Yesterday we had 30 degrees Celcius!

Some singers are in tune with our tear ducts. The one i chose today gets to mine every time. It\'s a release of tensions you don\'t know you\'re carrying around with you i suppose. I hope you stay safe in these walks.

Very cool write Andy. Politicians always did have to social distance ~ at least two sword lengths apart.

Hear hear - my first reaction was that our politicians are doing their very best in difficult circumstances and they probably are. But they have so much to answer for when you consider their abject failure in the past to prepare us - unlike Germany no forward thinking has put so many at risk.

Like your poem very much Goldie! Meeting somebody by chance who is going through the same hardship one went through just shows that we are not alone. And helping that other person might lighten our own load maybe just a little bit. Well written!

A fine write Gold. On occasions I have met people, usually when I have stopped, resting at a bridge for example.
Erm, I saw someone walking backwards with shopping one day. Bit tricky to have a chat with them! In practice for the \' Annual Walking Backwards Half-Marathon?!\'

Initially, I imagine, there\'s a reassuring comfort in meeting a fellow traveller along life\'s highways of devastating experiences when you can share mutually experienced recent history. But I wonder what feelings one is left with on returning home, reflecting over a cup of coffee.... Reading your words today it\'s is the after effect, the unspoken bit, which tugs at me Goldfinch. There\'s more than one piece of verse to be written therein.

BRIAN HERE ~ Angela is in the Melting Pot ~ but Noblese Oblige ! Great SCETCH from TBT et al ! And in some ways true ! One only has to read between the lines in Dickens to realise *The Good Old Days* were really *The Bad Old Days* in disguise. In 50 years time COVID 19 will be Science Fiction like Quatermass !
Now that I have my Own Garden and Im *Home Alone* *I talk to the Trees ~ and they do listen to me* The WUHAAN *Live Meat Market^ has a lot to answer for ! Good Pome ! *Miss Otis & I regret ~ we*re unable to post today ! *
