Battle with Nature.
dusk arising said:

Such an inportant message youve conveyed today in plain words.
We didn\'t learn from a war to end all wars. We are a violent and selfish life form, but that is not unusual on this planet if we look at the animals.
Maybe we are deserving of extinction. Is our time passed and gone like the dinosaur.
Some of us will survive and find out.

See what happens when you provoke my mind with great poems like this one today?

A fien write Gold.
A rather \'fire and brimstone\' church did their bit with some published prayer helps. One ran: \'O Lord, who in your anger in days of old plagued the people for their wickedness....... yet have mercy on us\'.
There is the aspect of God\'s anger, I believe, but they overdo that side a tad.

Angela here - Thanks Uncle Andy - for a very apt piece of Cool Jazz very soothing ! My MANTRA - as a Physio - is to smile in the face of ADVERSITY and it really helps - especially with amputees - who need reassuring because they always feel less than WHOLE. Love the LIM - Brian (who is 1/4 Welsh) says they always have a hand in spooky things. I will be back on the front line on Monday - Massaging the bed ridden Seniors to maintain their circulation ! Please pray (to your Spirit) for my Protection. I can assure that I will be smiling all day - but NOT LAUGHING !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours

For a poetic old timer
there\'s really nowt finer
than to rhyme
what the wind
blows from China

now that the world has gone viral
it\'s knocked us for six in the payroll
and left us quite hopping
at the state of our shopping
how deep will we go down this spiral?

now we\'ve got Boris elected
we hear the poor buggers infected
he cant have a hug
from his gal in the club
no wonder he looks so dejected

look ... do you see what these limericks do to me?.... you\'re as bad as that M.E. fella gettin me going like this

Oh lol - light relief in these times.
I told an awful joke - it\'s evil if I really meant it:
\'How do you get rid of Jehovah\'s Witnesses these days?\'
\'Just open the front door and cough!\'
Someone actually had them call on them in this crisis.

Victim of Loneliness?

BRIAN HERE ~ Thnaks for a very apt but poignant Video & Poem to underline the gravity & rising death toll due to COVID 19 ! It can only get worse before it gets better. Togetheness Isolation has been no problem for Angela & I in our first week of married Life in Casa Nuestra ! However I am concerned for Angela who is due back on *General Nursing / Physio* on Monday Morning !

The Lament *He Lived Alone ~ He Died Alone ~ He was Buried Alone*
is so so tragic ~ but alas it is echoed Worldwide.
We didnt get the Wedding we wanted but our loss
was nothing compared to his. Thanks for caring.

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours
Love Brian & Angela πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

Victim of Loneliness?
dusk arising said:

With age comes a myriad of blessings and trials but one rare quality is given to a few of us. Being seen to be noble by others. There is no price to it, no route to it, it is there or not there. Maybe it is rare because he/she who sees nobleness is rare also.

Andy,

Unfortunately that’s the situation. Northern Italy has been hit the hardest...and now it’s making its way South! They are not as well equipped as the North. There will be more deaths by the hundreds...I’m sorry to say!😭

Be safe and stay well!

Very touching piece Andy. Such an impact from a few lines about a mundane task. I try not to think about much when ironing, too busy trying not to burn my fingers.

The river through our village is more like a large stream again. All the little islands have emerged as have the little red flags which denote locations of water vole presence (holes droppings , sightings). So uplifting - couldn\'t spot any fish but they\'ll be there - my wife and I take a different route each day as our allowed \'exercise\'. Looking forward to todays walk in sunshine again - it is all so uplifting in these sad times.
And your poem captures it all - keep writing Andy - I allways enjoy your postings.
