Work Again?
dusk arising said:

Sadly tha credit crunch scuppered my retirement finances and i have to work for as long as my body will endure. Already my knees and back are complaining and i fear the time to take a long rest from work is close.
I have a different outlook on work though. Since my late twenties i have been self employed and chose my hours. Chose to work my bank holidays and take my days away when all others were at work. Working in peoples homes i befriended many and was delighted to be reaquainted years later when my services were required again.
I shall miss not working in several ways.

I also look back with much fondness - but I couldn\'t do my job now. The Law changes and evolves and I\'m no longer up to speed. So I\'ll remain content at home in charge of my life - yes I\'m content.

Thanks UNCLE ANDY ~ Great Opus & Visdeo for a lovely late Spring Day in SUNNY ESSEX ! Being a BANK HOLIDAY ~ no work for me (BRIAN) today but WORK again tomorrow ! I love my JOB (Head of Apllied Science in a large FE / HE College) and (@ 35) the whole idea of RETIREMENT fills me with HORROR ~ There is so much I want to do ~ which can only be done in the context of Secure Employment in Higher Education ~ OK. Angela feels the same. However she is prepared to take a break to *Raise Our Family* when the time comes. Physiotherapy is a Profession you can resume @ any time ~ AMEN

Count you many Blessings ANDY ~ retirement is one !

Did you see Jupiter and Mars float by as well? So many a time I have played this game of imagination, alone and with my kids. It\'s a fun way to spend time - it\'s fun because of their ever changing, impermanence shapes.

Ah yes, cloud formations on a beautiful clear day! those billowy cumulus types that shape-shift as they flow across the blue skies. A welcome treat on fine spring day and often a catalyst for poetic creation. Kind of twilight zone getting Australia and New Zealand in succession. Thanks for this refreshing glimpse of a mind and nature at work together . - Phil A.

That is undoubtedly good advice BUT with one proviso. Never tread on people to gain your goal, for your victims will successively mean less and less to you and you will end up a very bad person indeed. The end never justifies the means.
