\'We woz there\'. You and I remember carving that into tree trunks in Hastings in 1066.
Also into the rocks on the moon before the first Earthings arrived, and we came round from the other side of the moon to welcome them. We might not be human, you and I. lol.
I remember seeing \'Jaws\' and the first time, with the scene of the head appearing from bottom of the boat. We all jumped!

A very thought provoking write, one whose last stanza says it all. Very much enjoyed it. - Phil A.

Adrift With Nature.
L. B. Mek said:
\'I lay down and let nature breath on me\' - decadently emotive,
I took my daily walk, immersed in your words
so my actual walk - later, must be counted as a bonus
and long has it been decreed: bonus physical exertion must be compensated by an extra portion of dessert!
(and they said I was bad at maths...) :-)

That\'s a lovely place you describe there Goldfinch and it seems these days you are much more attuned to it.
Is the traffic noise picking up again during your morning walks now that more people are returning to work. Is it a distraction.
That great Matt Monro number is one i have used on here too. It\'s the best thing he ever recorded by a long shot. I saw the italian job when it was released back in 69 i think it was and of course that was the intro music/song. A great choice and good to hear again today. I was 17 years old and had just moved to Gloucester... memories.

Ohh, I savoured the pong of fresh manure, and didn\'t have my mask with me!

Tell me about it. I had a steamy eye test on saturday morning.
Also I find i suffer with shortness of breath when conversing with a mask in place.
Great piece and pun on a contemporary issue.
