God Only Knows.
Michael Edwards said:

My wife is catholic and when he is away on holiday in his native Ireland his place is taken by a Father from Ghana. He visits this country every year and has been doing so for a number of years now but still none of the congregation can understand a word he says so I can relate to your poem this morning Andy.

The Lost Words.

Lovely,so aptly describing a poets dilemma.
I think these \'lost words\' go into a mental folder which burns within us crying out to be released, to be expressed, to be written.
So often i will hear a well known piece and think, i wish i could do that but say something like it from a different angle. I fail, but the longing remains... one day!

HI ANDY ~ Love Nigel Kennedy A Rebel with a CAUSE !

Seated one day at my PC
My fingers strayed across the keys
There arose such a Phrase of Ecstasy
It sent a tremble through my knees ..........!

Love your Poem triggered by MIKE:
V 1. Transfer of WORDS from mind to paper is never easy
V 2. ALL Great Poets edit their manuscripts
V 3. Lost WORDS ~ like lost CHORDS ~ oscillate through the ether eternally !

Love to JOYCE ~ Yours as always BRIAN & ANGELA

Good questions to ask re. lost words Goldi - - poets suffer from idea-rivers that change their course midway between thoughts.

A fine write Gold. I don\'t chop and change many words. I find if I change too many, the whole poem gets ruined.
I wish I lost some words in 1066. You know the ones: \'Look up, Sire!\'

Andy,

A wonderful musical clip of Helen Shapiro; a singer I’ve never heard of...I’m embarrassed to say!

Enjoyable indeed!

Isn\'t it great to live in a community - sadly my village is too small to support any shops but we all know each other and it\'s impossible to walk out to the pub, or post box or simply to pop round the cornwr to see someone without bumping into someone else you know. Love the write Andy

THANKS ANDY ~ For reminding us to count our Blessings ! In the College where I work we have many Students with SPECIFIC NEEDS ! I often meet them in the Refectory and the are some of the happiest students in the College ~ especially the \"DOWNS\". I\'m on the ACCESS Committee and I make sure the whole College is accessible for Wheelchair Users etc etc. For some items such as raised troughs for Horticulture (V shaped for wheelchair users) we do have to raise money because ESSEX like all Counties id strapped for cash ! We have some students similar to the one you describe but they are very stoical and sometimes have 1:1 assistance. Thanks for sharing ~ loved the video. Please check my Poem \"FIVE FABULOUS FEMALES\" Yours as always BRIAN

A fine write Gold. I saw some recent stories on TV of people living with, and working through, their \'special needs\' or disabilities. Not handicap - hideous word, gone out of fashion now, thankfully.
So should they be called dis-abilities even?
I\'ve gone off \'Andy Capp\' cartoons since I realised it\'s a way of saying \'handicap\'.

THANKS ANDY ~ I like your panache ~ Half a Strauss Symphony is no symphony at all ! I love the POEM because it gives a very positive and optimistic view of LIFE & BEYOND as you look backwards & forward. In the first 21 lines ~ and tell us that your life has been doubly blessed 1. Because of your LOVE for your fellowman ~ and 2. Because you are indwelt by The Holy Spirit ~ who creates within you the FRUIT of the SPIRIT ~ Love ~ Joy ~ Peace etc. You finish with a SEXTET that assures us that as you contemplate YOUR ETERNAL LIFE ~ You have the assurance that the HOLY SPIRIT will be with you as you progress from Earth to Heaven ~ That is Faith in Action ~ AMEN !
I\'m only 35 so I hope to have another 55 years with ANGELA & THE HOLY SPIRIT ~ A double blessing. You have given us all a very positive perspective of LIFE & DEATH. I appreciate I could die tomorrow but I know I am HEAVEN bound ~ AMEN. Thanks for your \"Blessed Assurance\" Yours as ever BROTHER BRIAN !
I love it when the MUSE (Calliope) moves ~ it always produces something Perfect ~ AMEN.

Me being sensible - it\'s the Holy Spirit really, with us and within us. A Person, not an \'it\' or a \'force\'.
I say, not arrogantly, in a way it\'s not me that writes the hymn-poems, though I myself do actually put pen to paper, if you see what I mean?

Good old Cally. Is she very old? As old as us? Was she there in 1066?
