THE OLD LIGHTHOUSE

Edward, your description of the lighthouse is just beautiful, but what I think is even better in your poem is how you relate that to us. Yes we have wrinkles, are lived in, but there is beauty in that too!

There is something very special about old lighthouses and, as you say, old buildings. If only they could talk to ud their experiences would be wonderful to hear. Good write.

I loved this poem. I have an idea for us seniors.....let\'s put a picture of ourselves when young(er) on a placard and wear it wherever we go. I wonder what reaction we would get.
What do you think?

A beautiful and great dedication to our old light friends. Yes, they\'re old and weathered, but they have character. Many of the lighthouses these days are being restored by local \"Friends of Lighthouses\" groups. And I too love all old buildings. It\'s almost as though they have souls that attract our attention and hearts. I especially love vertical architecture such as lighthouses, towers and church steeples. There\'s just something so fascinating about them. ; )

Very good seasonal poem! I hate to see fall come because inevitably means winter is on it\'s way but you did a great job of painting a picture with your words of a beautiful autumn day/night.

Windmills are beautiful to see and seeing a windmill in the evening sun is an awesome sight, unfortunately here in the UK they are becoming rare to see. Good write and tribute to a wonderful invention of the past.
