Good write. Autumn is my favourite month and I look forward to those days where the sun is shining and the frost is on the ground.

AS SUMMER FADES
myself and me said:

\"They can get Christmas on your mind,
As they battle for your buck.\"
Yes, they wish Christmas for every month.
can\'t believe summer is over. Let\'s enjoy autumn, and leave the battle for the greedy.

I\'m excited to see autumn, but stores make me crazy putting holidays ahead in my face. I love to slow sip each season and enjoy each sight and sound. Very appropriate write, sir.

Yes, when our numbers up, it\'s up. My problem is I do more adding to my bucket list than I do checking off what I\'ve done. Great write laser. ; )

Very good write about special times. As the saying goes \"If I had known how much fun grandchildren are I would have had them first\".

ANOTHER TIME (Grand daughter story)
myself and me said:

\"Her world is filled with simple things\". It\'s the simplicity that makes them happy and pure.
Lovely and thoughtful poem.

MEMORIES OF YOUTH
Goldfinch60 said:

Very true lg. We went out just after breakfast and joined our friends and played all day using that thing called imagination. Or exploring our local area, we never came to any harm and learnt a great deal about nature and ourselves.

MEMORIES OF YOUTH
Accidental Poet said:

You must be the brother I didn\'t know I had. This is my childhood as well. We played baseball, football, hide-and-go-seek, rode our bikes. We were outdoors all day long. Miss all those days. Great write my friend. ; )

MEMORIES OF YOUTH
myself and me said:

\"We were taught that life\'s not easy,
We knew it wasn\'t always fair.
Some people had more than we had,
We just didn\'t care.\"
Today\'s young kids always whine for fair and more.
Hard work indeed kept depression away.
Very well written memories.

We lived across the street from a huge cornfield and would get lost in it, when we weren\'t climbing every tree in the neighborhood, or walking down to the river to fish. Kids miss so much today! Well done poem, lg!

OUR LITTLE HOUSE
myself and me said:

\"It\'s not brick and mortar, that makes you a home.

It is the memories it holds inside,

It is those memories that make your house,

Much more than a place you reside.\"
It says all. House is just a structure, home is where your heart hold.
Lovely.

I love this poem - whenever we visit the coast - never far away in U.K.! - I like to see a good old fashioned lighthouse. Synonymous with the coast.

AGE : (Perspective)
myself and me said:

\"Age is just a perception of,
Your own point of view.
Others may not see the same,
In people that you do.\"

Very well said. When I was at high school, one teacher said, thirty years pass by just like a snap. I did not believe and didn\'t understand either. Now I would say the same to the young fellas.
Nice poem.

Very interesting writing. I feel the same way. We only realize that we got old when looking at our friends or looking at the mirror. It is funny that the other day I was at the groceries store and I\'ve noticed some older guys trying to flirt with me and I thought to myself: well I\'m at that age when the old guys think: oh! This is a cute older lady. Maybe she is available. I laughed at the thought. Where all the strong big muscles guys went?
