93 And Rising Fast
A.H. Browning said:
I work with a guy who would track down old Boreas and have a few choice words, and would not leave him in peace without a signed contract for cooler weather.
Enjoyed very much.

This is beautifully heartbreaking. Achingly tragic. I know some illegal families and I ache for their struggle. Wonderful piece of work. Thank you for sharing it.

We also have horrendously hot summers. If I wasn\'t melting into the sidewalk, I would say that I know exactly how you feel! Great write.

Monday Mistake
A.H. Browning said:
My college roommates decided to set all my clocks ahead a few hours one night during my first year (this was back in the 80\'s, which is a little painful to admit)
Imagine my bewildered and dumbfounded expression when I arrive at the cafeteria to find the doors locked...
Where are all the other students???
Anyhow, they all thought it was quite hysterical when I arrived back at the room a little later... they laughed at that for a really long time. I can laugh about it now :-)
Thanks for making me smile today.

The Poem That Will Never End
A.H. Browning said:
I really like this! Thank you for that.
There is one \"thing\" that I have written that after completing three pages, I thought to myself, \"boy, I had better figure out how to end this nonsense\". It ended up being five pages long and thankfully I was able to stop after that. I had fun writing it, but I\'m not sure how to classify the writing.
Maybe one day I will post it on this site, under a different user name and while wearing a disguise...
This one made me smile... a lot.

I got a chuckle out of this as I\'ve had a similar experience myself one or twice. The good \"news\" is; you get to go back home to bed! :-) :-). Great post, thanks for sharing and for the laugh.

Rising To The Day
Alex Kay said:
The first two stanzas are the weakest here, I\'d say; they feel as if you\'re attempting a poem rather than just letting it happen (\"Do, or do not, there is no try\"). I\'d suggest having a look at those again. But then the poem finds its stride after that and bursts forth with lush, loving prose for the remaining stanzas.
