it can appear so very cruel at times, but so absolutely necessary.... a series of well penned observations...

Waiting For Wonder
MaddieJ said:
This is so full of balatent truth. I often have to lie down to the ground to allow my heart to beat with the earth. And often times, feeling the wonder of the nature around me, comes after I surrender to its heartbeat. Such a great reminder to be still and wait for it.

My friend was a horseman and broke many of his fingers - and now he is old and they are all askew as reminders of all his adventures........... so this poem has a special meaning.......

I Never Thought I\'d See The Day
John Lee said:
I never thought I\'d see the day-
The world would believe what is seen through a milky lense
Open their mouths to eat such a tasty treat from slithery friends
Democracy at stake when hypocrisy is made
Offering a plate of steak when its truly a den of rats
Your life you rake goodbye as you trust the Democrats..

Mourning and Moving On
Tamara Beryl Latham - The Poet said:
Wow! Your words are profound and what you speak is truth. All things must die. If we mourn for a significant amount of time, we die a little too and that leads us into severe depression.
Your poem is well-written, though heavy on the heart, and is a realistic view of life.
Keep up with your writing. :-)

Great write, I can remember one vicar that used to slap the top of the pulpit allegedly to make a point, in reality to wake people up.

Stop The Sermon, I Want To Get Off!

Ironic isn\'t that a preacher regurgitates phrases from a book that has now been proven to be full of mis-translations from the original script. Generally accepted by the various church\'\'s own theologists as being true. Perhaps the congregation would be larger if a lot of the falseness was taken away.
Sorry to drone on a bit, your writing was certainly fun but as you can see - touched a nerve.

And we\'re trapped heehee! If someone just drones on, we can\'t get out, apart from leaving most embarrassed, with some excuse like: \'I really must go, me house is on fire!\' Or \'if I don\'t leave now, it\'ll be Monday any minute!\'

Is Anyone There?

I heard you!
Such a powerful poem. I love how you capture the beauty and awesomeness of the natural world in the opening.
Then you bring in the \'stewards\' (humans) and the tone changes to a slight contempt (or maybe I am projecting my own feelings here).
I think people are too busy to pay attention these days.
