I love this, I was almost expecting the end to be heartbreak, but this is what I wish for some day. Gives me hope!

On your profile page it shows that you have never ever bothered to read any poem posted by any of the poets on here. Why is that?

When war comes
dusk arising said:

Powerful stuff. A nation of innocents raped and killed by a politician.
I have written often about the wrongs of war.... when will the pen be the mightier?

A powerfully described tale of innocence jailed and then having to fight doubt and prejudice on beiing let out after wrong detention. Sad beyond words and so often can happen in these troubled days Heather - so well crafted.

My character
orchidee said:

Ohh I dunno. She\'s not all that splendid to me. She made me feel sickly - too \'affected\' and \'twee\', and a super-snob, she seemed to me. Polite, yes, but over-doing it. Not that this is you!
You\'ll be OK as you! :)

I enjoyed this! Pretty brave of you to go freestyle like this ~ something I wish I\'d do more often. It\'s got that \"realness\" to it.

I really like this write - the allegory is all too familiar to me. I am still trying to remake my first brick - mine wasn\'t a Knight. But a GREAT poem and the emotion traveled right from the page into my veins.

Definitely one of my favorites on here... each word and sentence flowed so beautifully and kept me hooked the whole time! Haven\'t seen this topic covered much, but I\'m so happy you see the other \"colors\" in life, you\'re beautiful!! Especially with a mind like that!! Hope to see more writings from you soon :)

Heather, so many just don\'t think or just think of themselves. There are so many \"hidden\" conditions and modern life just seems to be bringing them to the forefront. Both of my girls and my 3 grandchildren have different levels of difficulty so lack of understanding has become part of life. Your words will add to the voice for change as it becomes louder. Great work.

Heather,

The last stanza is perfection with which I agree!
I really like the idea of using fairy-tales to convey your message!
Well done! Thank you for sharing!

Tamara Beryl Latham - The Poet said:

Wow! Heather, you\'ve certainly expressed your distaste in this rhythmic poem. Yes, there are many people that agree with your message of \"Mind your own business, or Live and Let Live.\"

This is a good poem to post at Christmas time with so many people enjoying meals with friends and family. There\'s always the one person who spoils the festive mood.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
