Your inspiration returned by a football match, good on you TRB. It is always strange on what inspires you.

Well I \'cheat\' a bit. I write maybe one poem some days; two or three other days; none at all some days! The limit is one per day on here, so I\'ve usually got some in reserve. heehee.
Yep, write two some days. Then have a day off maybe the next day!

Ah - we who daily put pen to poetic paper get the same blockage from time to time R.B. - you dealt with this
blankness so well in the poem which engagingly rhymes and which expresses these feelings honestly - tomorrow will dawn differently methinks as inspiration strikes again. Thanks for sharing the frustration so eloquently.

Your poem outlined so well the familiar outcome from drugs and not knowing the time to stop public appearances - - a touching read R.B.

That inspiration can be challenging. I have been writing at least one poem a day for over three years now, I have written four today but sometimes it can be hard. Calliope is with me today.
The inspiration will come, it comes from many places and thoughts.

Saturday Night (Not at the movies)

Don\'t really watch TV but I imagine this is how most people spend their Saturday nights and why not? There are another 6 days in the week to be affective with your time đŸ˜‰

Never watched X Factor but used to watch Strictly avidly but stopped watching three years ago.
Good write and totally understandable for a relaxing evening - mine is a Rioja please.

So true, my wife has dementia and it is so hard to get through to her sometimes. Occasionally she has moments of clarity and we grab them with open hearts.

Great nostalgic write. My first car was a Triumph Herald 13/60. If I knew I was going any where over 100 miles I would give it a mini service and reset the spark plugs.

Your poem brought back so many memories. My first car (as a teenager) was a Ford Fairlane. I was driving and the steering wheel actually pulled off. Thank God I was able to reattach it while driving.
Loved your poem. :)
