You is fortunate you is not feeling like a fax machine - as in \'Fax machines; who uses them these days?!\' And strange looks in some places if you ask about video recorders, as if to say \'Oh no, we stopped selling them about 500 years ago\'. lol.

The Retired Bloke,

A great write! As I was reading your poem, it reminded me of FDR’s words...
“the only thing we have to fear is fear itself”

I wish this had been instilled in me when I was younger! So many events would have been much easier to deal with! C’est la vie! We have to deal with what is dealt to us!

Enjoyed the read!

What Stops Us

This is so very true, I was talking about this with my daughter yesterday. It is fear that is the problem with all things, once that fear has been conquered (the door has been opened) it becomes part of our experience.

A fine write Retired. It\'s similar to \'worry\'. Some may even worry that there does not seem much to worry about! doh!
I\'m fearful of crossing some bridges, literally, if I can see the ground or river beneath. Though I got across certain bridge years ago, I can\'t seem to cross it now. On the other side of the bridge is more country walking to explore. And see-through steps are horrible, where you can see the ground beneath.

What an impressive read!

Loved the subject of the poem, but you may want to add a \"T\" to the last word. :)

Keep up with your writing!

A fine write Retired. I will aim not to be troubled when I\'m feeling under weight! doh! Don\'t matter how much I eat - always the same weight.
I don\'t get angry at the price of coffee in cafes. It\'s too expensive to start with! Don\'t like coffee much anyway. lol.

This actually felt pretty dark to me. It’s so... relatable. Like putting a feeling into words that I’ve never been able to describe before. So thank you!

Fear of self assembly
