there\'s a distinction between being finicky
and discerning, your words
are that of a person whose learnt the hard way
the necessity, of being choosy..
indeed, this is a trait we all need to cultivate!
thanks for sharing, dear poet

Nice poem. I at times feel a similar ambivalence. Thank you.

But Joker you so rarely join in here on MPS. The way this place really works at it\'s best is if we comment upon each others posts. You\'ll find that commenting upon other people\'s posts attracts far more comments to your own posts.

really like the positivity and tone of self reassurance
but feel this lacks a stanza to bridge the two \'poetic voices\'
or to help add context, still - even as it is
I found this a relatable read, unapologetically raw
but more impassioned, for being so

whether it be passion, compassion or self-salvation
as long as we\'re pulsing bright
fuelled with starlight hope or burning frustration
we\'ve got a chance, to make it...

I Am Not Lying - 1
L. B. Mek said:

its that balancing thread - of fate
how much of our choice
is happenstance, disguised as wilful ignorance
and how much of our mirror, do we fill
with stylistically hot, empty air?
when we sign our name, do we lilt
each letter the same, purposely
or do we react - erratically, when a squiggle
is out of place, from that order
we yearn - needlessly, devotedly
knowing, who - we are
asking
If, we ever - were: morbidly...
(thanks for inspiring my little scribbled reply
I\'m always drawn to the unwavering honesty
of your poetic ink)

Building A Home - 3
L. B. Mek said:

\'gradually, giving meaning to each day\'..
*Walls, can never contain
the love and life, we imbue into them
on their own
that\'s why they look so pathetic and derelict
to strangers;
that\'s why, the most important *Walls
we\'ll ever own, belong
to that fist sized pump, keeping us alive
and that\'s where we build
our Permanent home,
there-in, where we carry the legacy
of all those that kind heart\'s
that shared their warmth with us, forever striving
to protect all those cherished memories, inside
those pulsing *Walls...
thanks for sharing,
(I\'m sorry for your loss)

Building A Home - 1
rebmasters said:

This reminds me of a friend of mine who, whenever I would say \'life is meaningless,\' would counter it with \'well, how do you define meaning, what is meaningFUL to you?\' He would say look around your home or the space that you\'re in - what have you surrounded yourself with? What do you love? And that was the point - love is a tiny act of rebellion against existence being meaningless. That\'s a very generous paraphrase of Camus. Anyway, sorry for the lengthy comment! Your wonderful words just reminded me of this - so thank you x

so relatable, its easy to see
how effortlessly our Truth\'s, just flow
no rhyme or form fitting finesse, required
just worded sincerity
of a Poet\'s, unflinching: integrity!
thanks for sharing, dear Poet

Just Open The Door - 3
L. B. Mek said:

\'because little actions every day
would lead to great rewards someday;\'
This is a truly powerful message
a lesson so abundantly available, to all
but so few utilise: its multiplicative powers...
choosing, to shy-away
from that perceived ubiquity of routine
yearning, for that uniqueness of randomness
to be dealt: a life of dramatized, chaos...
with its legacy t-shirt
of tear stained: regret!

I Choose My Path...And I Don’t Regret It
L. B. Mek said:

\'but I kept regretting mine due to past mistakes or
the yearning for something
that I might have, if this path isn’t taken.\'
insightful words, thanks for sharing..
although, in actuality
we can only be our true- self
when we evolve - past
limitations of society\'s: caricature, profiles..
maybe, in time
you identify with both the joker
and the clown, or
the batman
and jack sparrow, or
Disney\'s Hercules
and Greek mythology\'s: Heracles...
either way, what matters is that you know
whatever you decide, if its Truly: your Truth
then it can only be right, have no doubt...!
often, our journey is more worthwhile
than the goal
so take it slow, let it come to you
than straining yourself - searching
for what may have never, been true

My Father’s Passing...Circus To Cyber
L. B. Mek said:

firstly, I\'m sorry for your loss
and please know: there\'s no textbook guideline, of a timeline
to fully grasp your own response, to such a traumatic occurrence
give yourself time, to comprehend - process and decipher
your assumptions may be right, or merely reactionary
truth is, we adjust and filter our experiences differently
as it should be..
