Well you are getting older yourself and I did not want to see you cry again at your age, I am ok with that as I am an old age perisher.

Very emotive words SC, but in time that memory will pass and your life will be full of joy once more.

Intriguing… usually saying yes is such a positive word and yet in your poem it led to some kind of downfall. Very deep and leads the reader to wonder what the question was. Love it .

Oh the best and so much fun. I once was in Dublin when I was 17 and my sister and I were oogling the boys from a bus - they were gorgeous - but one of the older women on the bus laughed and said \"Oh Irish boys are loovely and they make wonderful loovers but tarrible hoosbands\"........

That wasn\'t the guy who rang a \'naughty phone line\' and said \'Will you stop telling me the time when I ring you for naughty chat\', was it?! lol.

Your mate Barry - he\'s the Irishman? OK - that\'a a relief....otherwise we could be on tricky ground, despite the entertainment your piece provides...

Hey Sax – as a fan of Stanley Holloway, you will be familiar with his monologue ‘Brahn Boots’:

People treated funerals with appropriate respect in them days….. mostly….

Neat write – now something more cheerful?

It is almost scary while also a universal fact, we all die. I think this poem illustrates this fact well.

A truism. I rarely see a funeral procession though i live quite close to our cemetery. Though when I do see one i reflect upon my own funeral and those who may attend. I\'m a very solitary independant soul so there wont be a huge wake im sure.

Do we notice you ask, I don\'t think we do unless it appears on our telly screen along with a heroic life\'s tale.

As in \'We are all in this together, aren\'t we?\'?

Such universal truths are self evident. I would like to start a movement and have this printed upon all sheets of toilet tissue produced henceforth.... the two are not necessarily related though i must buy a few rolls this cloudy Sunday.

I feel lighter for having got that out of my system.

Reading your words brought to mind the faces of taliban leaders... the ones with dead eyes. You can see your fine words written all over them.
