Sounds a lot more genuine a valentine than the presentation of a tired, shop bought token, bearing someone elses script.

in an ideal world, these words of yours today would never have needed to be written .. but then we both know, it is a far from ideal world and injustices are taking place all the time ... furthermore, as far as I am concerned, words such as these should record every single one of them ... but we both know dont we, that aint gonna happen either .. It pleases me greatly though that these particular words have now been writ and shall now serve to preserve for all eternity the memory of but one of many ........ a great post in every respect ..

Such a royal poetry
Unwinding the hidden story
Stark reality
Old glories fading away

I think rereading poetry is like rereading your favourite book, or watching your favourite film. Depending on your mood at that particular moment in time, a reread can give you another insight into the poets mind.

Very well written, enjoyable to read and hits the target in many ways as to what motivates me. It fascinates me how spilling a few words on virtual paper can instantly communicate rich imagery.

Poetry is beautiful in all it\'s forms LB. And no exception here. So often a poem takes on a life of it\'s own, and in doing so it bewilders the reader to keep reading. Well penned LB. 👍

The very first time I began to read this, my mind began to effervesce .. even before my eyes began to feast on skylark .. then with every mid line reached, I think, tiny bubbles began to collide & subsequently explode with silent gasps and sighs behind my eyelids .. moving on I felt like slowly imploding outwards, as if that were not some contradiction in terms .. but finally as the pulsing and twitching subsided fell exhausted .. my appetite for words wholly sated
.. I hardly ever have more than one orgasm whilst reading poetry these day .. so thanks Mek I owe ya sir :)

Wonderful and so enthralling
Each words creates a scene
Displaying the creator and its deeds
So true poet
So true
Such a powerful poetry
This beast inside
Growing with delight
With every expression it roars
How wonderful when it soar
Thanks for sharing such a powerful poetry
And for encouraging the poets too

Indeed a lot of regrets I carry myself
But soon to realise I don’t wish to live the rest with anymore regrets

Is there any other way .. sadly and all too often, the answer is a deafening YES ..
However, if we each scribed a little poem or a note and left them here and there, containing the humanistic message embedded in todays post .. Then just maybe one or two might be found and read and acted upon accordingly .... Maybe ... and for all those who refused to do so without good reason, then may their beards grow backwards and choke em .......... N :)

London’s, scarlet seasons
Neville said:
Oh\' how I do hanker for those halcyon days of steam when if there was ever a riff then each would be encouraged to don a pair of gloves and slug it out outside the school gates or on the rec .. When kidney punches, head buts, biting. kneeing and elbows were frowned upon and would lead to disqualification .. When a bloody nose and a black eye or two would be worn like campaign medals and determine the winner ... Knives were for whittling, cutting string and a million other legitimate daily chores .. Sadly, those days are long gone and unlikely to return .... Even sadder the fact that your poem today paints the grimmest picture of an increasingly accurate state of affairs that frightens me shitless .. so much so that I have stopped carrying my old pocket knife that has been a trusty friend for more years than I can remember ... and was my fathers friend before me ... Yes indeed, you reference London, but sadly those scarlet and crimson stained sidewalks are an all too familiar sight right across the country and even beyond .... Well done Mek .. rant over N
