L.B. this one made me cry. I felt like I was reading my own story, my own emotions, my own thoughts, it was haunting. This is art, no more to be said.

Such an attention grabber this piece of poetic mastery dear L.B. - the time of regret poised so clearly after so many years is so very relatable in this honest gem of a write - no doubt about it I must have Hour of Your Absent Weight in my list of favourites.

Wise words L.B. wisdom poors from your mouth like it did from his but so few that are willing to take the time and perservere to the end of what is needed to understand. It is your method that I have used over the years to pass exams, learn music, appreciate books and live life. You\'r last stanza rings with poetic words of truth. This one struck a chord in me that is still reverberating.

Thank you L.B. for introducing me to this group. I love music as much as poetry and am always looking for out of the mainstream talent. I was taken by a group homogenized in their age, gender, I expect race, and degree of musical talent across a variety of instruments in a genre that requires so much improvixation. Joshiryoku, certainly empowerment for the women of this group much more than just what is expected. Thanks again for the introduction.

Loud applause LB. for this well researched and powerful outcry for more awareness of society\'s free-falling into a bleak future. Without even knowing it too if chips in minds reaches reality. That kind of dictatorship is beyond appalling so before it is too late everyone seeing it needs to stand up and be counted. Thanks dear poet friend for spelling it out so clearly.

L.B. or should I now call you Isaiah? Yes I have seen it too Ted Kaczynski was much more right than society wanted to believe. Much of modern technolgy has come from Sci-fi all the way back to Jules Vern. Are we becoming a part of the Matrix. It would appear so. Great write L.B.

L.B. The first stanza caught me. I was hooked. Time should not take away the childlike virtue of gaiety, wonder, or innocence. I still look with ah at the world and laughter and joy should only grow greater with the years. There is much deep philosophy in these next lines. The third and fourth stanzas drip with wisdom but the gaiety is gone as the poem states. Do we loose the vitality and merriment of childhood innocence with the gaining of wisdom? I dare not think so. But maybe so.

Shakespeare, I fail to be (after Sonnet 18)

True love is eternal and is not corrupted by time. The intent of Sonnet 18 is encapsulated here. Just as true love is immortal so are some poems, those that spring from the human soul and speak the truth of the human condition. This is a beautiful rendition L.B.

So very true Mek, many are just not connecting with others. We go regularly to a coffee house and so many people just sit at table with each other staring into the cell phones. We must talk to each other in person.

L.B. this struck home. I remember 50 years ago going to stay for a few months in a place that had no electricity. In this community everyone knew everyone and the only form of entertainment was sitting and talking to one\'s neighbor. There was little crime because if someone stole they would be ostracized. One could leave things outside and they would be there a week later, there were no locks on doors and you could go away for months and nothing would disappear. Then came electricity, radio, television, the internet and video games. No one talked to anyone anymore, the old died and no one knows anyone anymore. The community has not grown but crime has gone up and nothing is safe, everything has to be locked up and even then they disappear. A sad commentary of technology and its effect on society. Loved the write L.B.

The list of reasons given so poetically in this revealing post makes for the saddest of reading dear Mek - - we live in a generation of what you wisely call mere \"smoke signals\" while loneliness grows ever toxic to many - far far too many . - - this needed reminder goes into my list of favourites.
