An evening’s enamouring essence

For me, as I read this, I picture natures incredible display; that first crack of thunder and then the fireworks of lightening. I especially love the phrasing of \"In one ear, explosions continue to unnerve and delight while music serenades this sacred oneness with
\"existence. Nature keeps me in continual awe. Such a beautiful write my friend.

Great words Mek. That atrocious pack of lies that brought us out of the EU has a great deal to be blamed for!

L.B. this is quite the piece. Its meaning is deeper than the footprints. In the end I wavered between the thought that the left footprint meant reentering the house with the right foot for a better start or whether it was a footprint that was \"left\" as a permanent remembrance of return. Very nice.

Like art, taste is an individual issue. I to enjoy the bitter and sour but also the salty and sweet. A wonderful metaphor L.B.

L.B. I am naïve regarding the answers but not of the frustration that accompany these problems. I keep thinking that in this world kitchen \"too many cooks spoil the broth\"

Oh dear me. I am not savvy in all the goings on over there but a good look at the basics should right the ship. For example, with returning to square one on the constitutional monarch that in the least would make a venue for bringing an infusion of best current practice to move into the demands of the rising future. There is yet hope in all the bleakness. At least it would be encouraging to see it that way.

For me, your first stanza seems a statement on the incongruence of our human condition. The last two filled with the hope of new beginnings, at life given another opportunity. A very powerful write my friend, and a fav.

So well expressed this theme of the circle of life and its extension in each new birth. Your first stanza so pregnant with meaning. Your balance of the old and new is marvelous. The last stanza ties all together with the knowledge that with new life comes new pain as well as beauty. Thank you so much for sharing this.

It still amazes me that sourness and bitterness are so closely related, a very striking metaphor. Can’t wait to drizzle a meal in lemon, lime and a dash of balsamic vinegar…. You have made me hungry Mek!
