With Aphrodite\'s Kiss
L. B. Mek said:
\'it just seems sometimes in Winter\'s lust still falls a Summer rain.
is it true when comes a minor loss, so to comes greater gain?
perhaps, with Aphrodite\'s kiss, I will appreciate the pain;\'
these lines imitate virtual-reality\'s immersive traits
purely by enticing a readers imagination
through written words, alone

Ballad of Mr. Lockdown
L. B. Mek said:
defiantly: Brilliant!
(forgive me for rudely rearranging your wonderful work
but this is how your poem chose to speak to me)..
\'I am the closest friend of no-one, my enemies are few
my mind it seems more occupied with the lesser that I do\'
\'was it all about the prophet or the profiteering mound?
I am of the understanding it was neither.
was it all about investors or inventors of the math?
I have no understanding of this either;\'
\'I am but a simple man who wears his heart upon his quill\'
\'I am now something to the nothing. I am the nothing of it all.
so if my nothings what you\'re asking, you are welcome to it all.\'

Play Dead Among The Flies
L. B. Mek said:
if this is a biographical dedication, then I\'m so sorry for your loss..
but know either way, you\'ve penned
a write worth investing in
to fully explore, and cherish as a serenade
for the pure love of reading

No More The Frowning Clown
L. B. Mek said:
\'surely time has come to run away from the frowns of the clown
and enjoy instead the mischievous scrumping of plums;
let this adult play with the children of the smile
let him be the child he only dreamt he would ever be\'..
that remnant thread
of blissful ignorance to \'all things possible\'
remaining in that shrivelled paltry shred
of our childhood\'s treasured memories
excavated, with a poet\'s despairing ink
to salvage
that crippling perception of bleak reality
threatening
to drown-out all, but nihilism\'s penchant for misery..
is what your words conveyed to me dear poet
a great write, with wonderful use of characterised imagery!

All About Eve
L. B. Mek said:
\'I have whistled one too many times
about the burning of the deck. about the felling of the mast;
castrated eyes upon the turning of my neck
I am all about Eve in the distance in Butterfly net
with a sweet tasting Rose and a posse of Earl Grey Bees;
she brings subsidence to my crooked ears\'..
wonderful flow, admittedly I couldn\'t quite grasp everything but I appreciate the artistry of eloquence in your inking prowess

Twice About The Moon
L. B. Mek said:
categorised perfectly, for these words are imbued with a fantastical element, showcasing a brightly hued view of the everyday ordinary, few of us seldom stop to consider briefly, let alone twice..

the slyness of a quartered moon
L. B. Mek said:
deep, this are just some of the surface layers I manage to uncover:
\'at this time of ungodly hour
where pretence gleams with pretentious whit\'
\'light be the mood of earths upending room
bright be the brood of befuddled mud on Pastorias cheek
as rod and staff dive deep\'
\'through uncharted veins of a daughters snow
now lights the wrath of the urchins beaten brow;
as seethes the slyness of a quartered moon
at time o\'clock now sleeps the hawk of seas
on cormorant tongue where spies the teeth of mist\'

Resting against that aging tree gives us more energy to continue in our life and I am so fortunate to have found them to keep me going into old age.
Sunny side up please.

It is Now Six O\'clock
L. B. Mek said:
bold - impactful,
demanding - distilling,
judgemental of judges,
empathetic of the judged,
angled to shine perspective
on those most maligned within society\'s hypocritical traditions..
daring!
a poem, I wish I had the ability to pen..
