Your words made the show iive as that curtain rose and what a thrill for everyone taking part -- - hard is hardly the word for all the work that goes into a musical like that one and wow - in Germany too - - Draven your poetic verses have been sorely missed but am sure the whole project re. production would have been worth time and effort for its doubtless success and thank you for sharing the evening\'s excitement with us.

Anxiety
L. B. Mek said:

\'Helpful remedies only numb the edges\'
when we are wading, knee deep
in debilitating, anxiety
being gifted, a little room
to manoeuvre, to catch our breath
and recover
some semblance of normalcy
is enough...
(such a relatable read
and so well written, thanks for sharing
dear Poet)

\'I sit there numb.
Because with alcohol I am a shell
- barely functioning.
But still, I am functioning.

One won\'t hurt.
Until that one turns into another
and the lines
of my healthy boundaries are so blurred
that it doesn\'t even seem to matter\'..
so accurate, so relatable
so vulnerable, so brave!
(I read and learn)
Brilliant!
(forgive me, dear poet
I\'ve been missing your posts lately
will try and check-in more often)

I clicked on the poem because the title piqued my curiosity. And as a former alcoholic this resonates.

My favorite verses:

𝘐 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸.
𝘐 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘶𝘺 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘐 𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦.

𝘐 𝘴𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣.
𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘭𝘤𝘰𝘩𝘰𝘭 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭
- 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨.
𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭, 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨.

Story of my life. I spent 10 years of my life trapped in a bottle and a cycle. I praise God for pulling me from that pit. Now that I am clear-eyed and clear headed for the first time in my adult life, I am never looking back!

All the best in keeping up the healthy choices! 💗 Thank you for sharing your poetry.

Lessons leant for us all at times Draven in this honest write - the best answer to say when the old invite comes out that\" one wont hurt \" - -is that valuable word of No

It\'s like Teddy says - not that I drink myself. It only burns my tummy inside.
Some may seem a bore for not having a drink, but some can become a bore after too many drinks.

wonderfully succinct
and intimate in tone
while offering little context..
really well penned, dear Poet
and yes
we all need to ride our own waves
before we can look around
and sail, life\'s gridlocked sea\'s..
thanks for sharing
and even if you don\'t share
keep that mighty pen, dancing

It happened to St Paul (Acts Chapter 27). He had some spiritual knowledge that it would be bad to journey on. A ship\'s captain went ahead with the voyage though, and they ended up shipwrecked.
But yes - take the voyage, whatever weather - anything to get away from my singing! lol.

An apt comparison for life\'s upheavals is the force of tide and power of breakers - a poem to read and remember dear Raven. - - your appealing imagery touches the core of coming to right decisions. Good to see you posting again .

And lighter, brighter days will come again.

Once we have lived in the dazzling light of love all else seems twilight. Life in the twilight makes us stronger and more worthy. Wouldn\'t you rather meet someone who has known twilight than one who has not... Life teaches us as does love.
