We lived a very short drive from the ocean on Prescott Lane, Huntington Beach California, within walking distance of Hope View Elementary School where I attended. (I love the ocean. It is the one place that I feel the most at home, the most relaxed and the most comfortable). I cannot remember very much of my childhood but there are several things that stick out when I remember that experience. One of the things I remember is visiting the beach in the evenings and seeing people out on the beach, sharing good times with friends and family . I remember images of people and evening campfires on the beach, (and of course, the sun setting over the beautiful ocean).
Whenever I have the chance to be on a beach at any ocean, it makes me feel wonderful and “at home”. Unfortunately, I currently live in Atlanta 🤨…. No beach or ocean here…
When I pass, I hope to have my ashes scattered in the ocean, as my final resting place.
I appreciate your writing here. Thanks for reminding me of these things 👍
