Jim, I love your nature poems, especially about the birds. I too love birds and love to watch them in my outdoor area. Thank you for sharing.

Delightful poetry Jim. We have a robin in our garden. Hops right up to our kitchen door. Your imagery here of a snow scene is beautiful and bird song is always a touch of heaven. Have a lovely day.

Slavs are slaughtering each other
I thought they were brothers
I wonder why
There is more to this
Than meets the eye
It seems the old
Silk Road schemers
Have no intention

will the war be over
TobaniNataiella said:

We all should hope for a end to all wars, nothing has ever been properly resolved peacefully at the end of a gun. I fear with Ukraine what ever is decided by whoever and some kind of peace can be obtained, it will not last.

Putin will return at a later date, bigger and nastier than he already is, i hope i am wrong as Ukraine is a beautiful country with wonderful people.

will the war be over
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Praying for Ukraine\'s success in all of this, and to a just end to a VERY unjust war! Well done my friend! This call for peace is echoed in my heart as well. I won\'t turn blue holding out hope for Trump (though who knows), but I do pray a just deal is struck and that none of us have to hold anything waiting for it. Again, an excellent and timely write, Jim! 🌹👏

We just want the war to end, but not at the expense of dictators winning and stamping their feet on more territory. I hope Trump can do an acceptable deal. Too much killing in this world of ours, too much suffering and violence. A very topical subject Jim, pulls on the heart strings. Have a happy Wednesday.

That’s what we can expect from life Jim. The good, the bad and the inbetween. You have summed up this so well in your poem and the play on our emotions. Hope your day has been good.

I once passed a dove on the side of the road.

Cassie58 said:

Good morning Jim. Christmas is a happy time and I wish people would stop saying happy holidays instead of happy Christmas . It certainly is a great fun time for children. I have such lovely memories of my youngsters waking up on Christmas morning to a sackful of presents. Such a cold day here. Wrap up warm. Enjoyed your festive poem today.
