I find it extraordinary that besides myself, there is at least one other here on earth who thinks and feels and behaves in a very similar way to me .. and if that were not a magical realisation in itself .. to have them write about their experiences and perceptions in such an appreciable way makes the reading of it outstandingly cosmic and likewise awesome .. and then some .. bravo Bella .. This is an amazing write in several different ways. First I loved the subtle reinforcement of perspective by the introduction of the the thumb as artists use it to gain perspective but in double entendre it is used to hitch a ride. Yes a ride to understanding and perspective (how great is that?) The metaphor of darkness and star light is clear as is the reference to distance to gain perspective. The becoming one with the universe is a type of enlightenment as is the realization that perspective is temporary, A truly inspiring and masterful write Bella

We seem to see our littleness more when it\'s night-time and dark. Though I suppose we could also look at the daytime sky.
Maybe seeing the night stars help us to recall the vastness more.
\'Come see the stars, KP said to me\'. \'Dang it, you woke me up\', I replied! lol.

Hey Bella – glad to see you back!
My contemplation re the vastness of our universe and the true meaning of infinity first occurred in my mid-teens, when I eventually ended in some kind of mild (but disturbing) dissociative state which in turn led me to concentrate on the here and now.
At this part of my life cycle I am able to visit once more in much the way you have described in your great little piece which reached out to me. For that many thanks.

An appealing lovely dancing poem, a bouncy waltzing read itself. Kudos!

Plz also read and comment my newest poem too.

I love waltzes preferring a fast Viennese waltz where the whirling becomes almost maniacal and one is lost in the rhythm and swirl. This plea for a dance makes my feet start to move and my body twirl. But then a slow waltz like this is so romantic and somehow lifts even tired legs effortlessly. Beautiful Bella or should I say Bella beautiful?

I\'m not much of a dancer, and I don\'t know Brahms, but I do know what you mean here in your beautiful poem Bella. 🌹

Beautiful Brahms!
It is in the dance. If only I could dance on forever (or just for a short time!). It cleans the mind out, Bella….. But I don’t have to tell you this because it’s all in your poem, oh so well expressed.

Apologies, Bella – I’ve just had a flash back – memory safely buried until now. I did have a colonoscopy way back when I was somewhere between 14 and 18 (middle to late 1950’s). Vowed never again – and I haven’t.
About to rebury…. ⛏ (wot no emoji shovel? 🥹)

Good late evening my time Bella .. My word, I am almost too embarrassed to articulate in any great detail just how much I felt compelled to read this whole thing through.. Such tragedies are regrettably on the increase but no matter how often we are exposed to them, I doubt they will ever get any easier to comprehend.. I am so grateful for your authors note too and breathed a sigh of great relief when you pointed out that you were making a poetic point rather than referencing a personal tragic bereavement.. Good to be back my friend, you bet .. Neville

A most poignant and sad poem Bella. There are so many senseless tragedies in this world. I listen to all the politics of gun control and have to ask myself why the issue of mental health and parental responsibility is not addressed . Recently in a shooting the parents of the shooter were sentenced to prison time for their part or lack of part in the shooting. This may be the new trend.

Good little thought, Bella. But I don\'t burst - It goes like this: knowledge in - past learned knowledge out. I cannot subscribe to the theory that we only use 10% of our brain/memory. Otherwise the other 90% went on holiday a while back....
