That is quite a journey through life you have taken your readers on. Much to see on the way and pathways to pursue. Lovely choice of language and laden with imagery. The final stanza says it all. In search of kindred spirits. That’s what we do. Poetry to be admired.

This one is a journey in and of itself from beginning to end it carries me along. Very nicely worded and paced it lays out each step and holds a great message at the end of the journey that we are social creatures and it is company that we long for. A fave

I’d say he was a survivor. All of us have to deal with challenging situations in our own way. We pick our own strategies. We are all different. Interesting write arqios. All the best.

Some get strength from their fears and it drives them forward others there fears make them retreat. One of the only things i learnt from an early age is if you are going to fight, pick the right fights to fight. Enjoyed the read, made me have a think.

Here lies one of two possible choices. In this life we have the choice of fight or flight neither better or worse than the other. Both adaptive responses and here is flight and it seems to work and be adaptive. Metaphorically we all run from certain feelings and is it cowardly some would say so I think it adaptive to that particular person ill equipped to fight back. Very nicely constructed and worded Cryptic

I understand this. With me it’s books. Some books I know the Stories, others I forget what they were about . Stephen Fry mentions it in his Autobiography, so it’s not just me.
Your Poem said it well.

Hmm. But that was the reason for my eager attempt to collect the complete writings of various poets and poetesses of yore whom I dearly loved and adored, and likewise the cause for my detesting fiction since it left reality so far behind via smoke and mirrors that I failed to see who was writing. It\'s also the reason why I dearly love Shakespeare. But enough of me. Beautifully rendered with nigh exquisite imagery and a tantalizing poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Great poem. Like the shards metaphor. The shards can be precious.
As to interactions, an air of mystery is far better. You will never build a complete picture of someone through their writing. Poets I have met are often very different from the way their muse works. Enjoyed the read.
