sunrising sunset
sorenbarrett said:
This poem hit me in different ways. The sunrise portrayed so well the dawn of life with its promise of the future yet to come, while mid-day is the work and labor, the suffering of mid life, then comes the memories present in the evening of life. Then again the literal day is just fine too.

Rik: The trouble with \'screenshot and then posted as an image\' is that it doesn\'t give me access to the link at the bottom of your piece - obviously an integral part of the post.

\'If only\' - but it ain\'t, Rik, is it?
Fires floods and military spending...
\"Consumed in the fervent disappointment and disgust\" is me!
Well shouted.
PS: \'cryptic\' is right, mate - your piece is embedded here in such a way which makes a quick copy and paste impossible - how so? Commercial secret?

We can only hope that the tomorrow which is there now, will have learned from the past which we are today. For every moment of every day we make the future. An enigmatic and thought provoking read my good poet. Definitely a fav!

behind each poem
Bella Shepard said:
The beauty of poetry is that it does come from the heart, the mind, the soul and you have expressed this so beautifully. No fear in poetry; no inhibition, free flowing, often intimate , truthful, angry, loving, kind, understanding, every emotion you can think of. And the greatest part is that no matter what the subject, someone had a thought and had the courage to share it. A great write my friend, and a fave.
