Beautiful images mixed with nursery rhyme tells of deeper meaning and some very nice lines particularly the whole last stanza. Cryptically imaged in the poem is the heavens and what is so obvious becomes metaphor. Very nicely done my firend

A wonderful metaphor that made me hungry. Poems like food vary in their taste as do those that consume them vary in theirs. A poem may be perfect but is it perfect for the taste of its reader? No one can tell so all the cook or author can do is make it perfect for themselves. I have always said that what makes a poem a poem to me is the emotion it evokes not the nicety of form or rhyme.
