to our muse of possibility and dreams
in an instant, we\'re sky high and free
and that very instant
we feel that cruel distance, singeing
that widening gap in our hearts...
(this is why i don\'t do goodbyes
I give everything i have
in the Time i\'m gifted with
the kind souls that enter my life
and when cruel fate comes around
I simply disappear
it has been this way all my life, a kindness
of sorts, since
i leave behind little but fragments
to remember me by)
but to me
every memory visits crystal clear
decades
after finality visits my cherished relationships..
but these wet eyes, realise
to feel this way, i must have loved so abundantly
and so gratefully, i shall carry these scarring
mementos
till that hurrah breath, grants a most finite
sigh of relief..
till then we reminisce and 🍻
